It is.

You do know that Telltale was formed by ex-Lucasarts employees right? So it's not really all that surprising that they'd be handling this. And yes, I do expect it to be on the PC too seeing that Telltale release on both PC and Xbox360.

Of course I know it.
But it is surprising for this reason. It has never been real big love between LucasArts and their ex-employees.
See the mess between LucasArts and Steve Purcell when they decided to make a Sam & Max sequel, and then cancel it. Then the rights returned to Purcell and we know the rest of the story.
I wasn't excpecting to see that kind of partnership that soon.
I thought this thread already existed, twice.

I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing...
I liked telltales Sam & Max (first series, never played the second lot), but I couldn't shake the fact that it wasn't quite right. Most of that is probably down to the episodic nature of them, which I hate (which is why I bought the first series of episodes complete).
I'd like to argue that The Secret of Monkey Island doesn't need a remake, but, I can see that most people these days wouldn't appreciate it the way it was. I'm far more keen to see what they do with the remake, and I'd hope that it's done well, and I wouldn't mind the voice actors from Curse.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
This is AWESOME!!!!! I've been waiting a LONG time for this! Finally, more Monkey Island! And I can get a legal copy of the Secret of Monkey Island (I used to have one, but the discs became corrupt years ago).
Let's see...how much cash do I need to put aside to get it all....
Wat? That guy on the cover is not Guybrush.
Absolutely fantastic news, have been wanting to play this for years and now I am finally going to get a chance. :)
