The artwork does look very close to the original, I like it.
Guybrush looks slighly different yet again, so I guess thats in keeping with the series...
[edit] Actually he looks most like Guybrush from COMI.

“We can’t wait for Guybrush Threepwood and LeChuck to return to gamers’ screens.” - LucasArts President, Darrell Rodriguez
... after sitting on the IP for a decade and refusing to touch adventure games with a 40 foot pole?
Harrr. Harrr. Harrr.
I don't know I am "partially" happy by this news...
While more Monkey Island is technically a good thing, I would have prefered if it was Autumn Moon (Others ex-Lucasart guys) that got the rights instead of Telltales.
I don't have anything against Telltales games per se, heck I own most of them, but they are definitely on the "ridiculously easy" side (not to mention very short) so I am a little affraid to discover what that will give with Monkey Island.
I don't know but ultra-easy/limited environment and ultra short is not something I usually associate with Monkey Island (At least not with the first 2/3 games).
Then again on the other side Telltales are 10'000 times better than the infamous criminals responsible for the crime agains gaming that are the last two Leisure Suit Larry games.
one in the eye for those on forums across the globe who have been saying the point&click adventure genre is dead. yup, sure looks like it! ;)

Weclock: I thought this thread already existed, twice.

;-) I did look to see if there were any posts about this so I didn't double post it.
I do remember reading something about this before -- but I think it was all unconfirmed, but now it is confirmed.

lukaszthegreat: wait...
my 360 controller?
Oh almighty god Shiva plz it be released on PC too

yes, xbox 360, wii and pc.
No one's mentioned it in the thread yet, but if you don't like the new features and styles in the remake, the old style's just a button press away at any moment. It's not even in the option menu, even, it's the Back button on the 360 controller and will probably be tied to a key on the PC. You could jostle back and forth every step of the way!
TT Games also uses SecurRom on their games :o(
Telltale games? Well, that's the best dev team imaginable to get this IP into their claws. Fingers crossed :-)

I don't know if they changed for Strong Bad but at least for Sam & Max, the "free" DVD you receive if you buy the full season doesn't have any online activation or Copy protection on it.

Not sure, but when I wrote them I was told that W&G has SecurRom and so does the DVD version of the game. I think they give you something like 30 installs and then you have to call to receive more if you need them.

If I remember correctly, the download version can be activated on 20 different computers, supposedly you can email support and extend that limit if needed. The disc version has no activation or online check, it only requires that the disc is in the drive when playing the game. (When you buy the download version of a game you can get the disc version for free, you only pay for shipping)
