Long time no see!

Just thought I'd pop in to let everyone know that my bizarre fantasy/comedy adventure book Monkey Aladdin is available for free until Friday.

If you don't have a Kindle, this program will allow you to read Kindle books on your PC:

Here's a little more info about the book, if you're interested:

It is still restricted by country, no?

"We're sorry. Kindle for PC is not currently available in Indonesia."

It turns out that being newly married is kind of nutso, especially when you have to work and house sit for two people at the same time. Also, my new house doesn't have internet yet, so I have to go to my parent's house every time I need it :(

I'll be back eventually, but probably not quite as much as I used to be. Adult responsibilities and all that.
Married, adult? What is the world coming to... but a "break" (or at least "temporarily lessened activity") from the interwebz can only be a good thing methinks. Cheers for stopping by with a gift, You can never have enough bizarre, comedic adventures in Your life.

Agreed :D
I was interested in this but oddly enough it won't let me "purchase" it. Regardless, it looks awesome, and I wish you many sales in your book. :)

Will the program allow me to download the file to my computer? Because right now it is apparently only stored in my library at Kindle Cloud Reader, and while that will apparently allow me to download it, it doesn't tell me the name of the file, or where it stored it. I don't have a kindle, and do all my reading on my Android phone.

Edit: Hmm, I suppose I could just install Kindle for Android on my phone, although I'm not in love with the idea of adding yet another app to my phone for the sake of a single book.

Hm, somewhere on your harddrive there should be the file as epub or in another format. There are always ways to download things directly or "extract" them ;-)

It doesn't appear to be in neither EPUB, MOBI or PRC format. Any other suggestions?

Seems this is the DRM of Amazon, you can only load it into Kindle for PC or another Kindle App.
Well, but think it is still possible to fetch the file (using some tools like Wireshark) but I don't know if they are encrypted, protected or something else =(

Ah, the wonders of DRM. And this is why I don't buy music or ebooks infested with the stuff. Hardly any games either.

He could also release a PDF.js version but maybe he needs the DRM but you are right, DRM is a pain (well, at least I found some security holes eg on soundcloud.com and other platforms to "bypass" DRM :D )

You are doing the right thing, being on GOG and buying DRM-free games here =) +1

Hmm. I specifically opted out of DRM when I published it. Maybe Amazon has some sort of DRM it uses regardless?

Wishbone, if you PM me your email address I can send you a copy of the book in word format for free. That goes for anyone else having issues as well, as long as you contact me during the promotional period.
