I did a complete graphic overhaul so now the sights are very interesting. I installed Requiem, locational damage mod and another one I forgot the name, there's also deadly dragons. Combat is VERY satisfying and hard now, you really need to play well as npcs act way way smarter than vanilla. They actually retreat when they are dying, block you at the right time, go for your head when you're weak, etc. And there's no scaling anymore and the loot is handplaced. The compass is also gone, my lighting and climate mods make every setting very beautiful, nights are really dark, torches or the dragon's dogma style wearable lanters mod I installed are a must for dark areas. Did a complete overhaul on the sound design and animations as well, so they look more fluid and spell sounds are the best I've seen in a game so far.

I also installed interesting npcs, a mod that makes taverns really alive and crowded and inconsequential npcs mods. Immersive armors and weapons do a great job diversifying stuff as well. Got Faalskar island installed as well, but have yet to visit it. There are a fucking LOT of other mods installed as well, I've got over 110 or 120 as of now (skyrim folder is 32gb large). Overall, I'm VERY satisfied with the result. I wish I had played it for the first time modded like this, I bet my ass it would be a shameless top 5 for me.

Pic related, my character (he's wearing a helmet but it's toggled invisible)
Nice! Glad you got it set up to your liking.

Cheers.
That looks nice, may I ask why there is so much blur in the distance?

This is what my Skyrim looks like :)

DAAAMN! That's like half of Max Payne 3. ;)

I'm glad you're having fun though. That's what games are about. Enjoy yourself!
That's the beautiful thing about Bethesda published games, they're so beautifully moddable.

Glad you're finding it enjoyable! I installed some high rez packs myself, here's a couple screenies. They don't look as good as your guys', but I think they look decent.

EDIT: oops looks like I can't share my photos. Have my profile set to private due to being harassed last year.

You can set your profile to be private, but individual pictures can be public.

Cheers for the tip, but the person who harassed me did so by commenting on my photos.

With all this eye candy, surely you need a beast video card to make it playable? What card do you have and how many fps do you get? In general, I aim for 60fps and keep turning down the graphics until I get there.
Is there a way to buy the add-ons without having to give Steam all of my personal info?

I'll admit that I've never actually purchased anything on Steam, just boxed copies that came with Steam keys.

For example Gamers Gate:

You can buy Steam keys for the DLC from other online retailers. Many of them don't require more than a name and email address. Try Gamersgate, Greenmangaming, Amazon, etc...

IsThereAnyDeal will help you find the best deal and also list all the retailers I haven't mentioned. Have fun :D
Thanks amok/Dzono!

That was really the main thing that turned me off about Steam. DRM bad and whatnot but really guys I'm just buying video games.

'Preciate it!
