Well, it's understandable that GOG and Mobygames chose to focus on iToys, given that their catalogues mostly contain Apple and Android games and that people who go with the times and use smartphones and ipads more frequently than their old PCs are the most likely to be interested in gaming history. Um, I guess? :/

Please re-tune your sarcasm detector, it seems to have lost connection. ;)

You don't say! And I was just about to buy me a tablet, so I can enjoy browsing GOG again ... :P
Lol, if you read their forums (and other gaming/retro-gaming/vintage-related forums on-line) the Moby redesign was welcomed by a shitstorm as never seen before :-P

To whomever decided/made this: your decision was bad, and you should feel bad. Plus: your coders can't program shit.

As for me, I'll behave exactly the same when this kind of things happens: I search for alternatives.

Good luck with that. Not many game database sites out there with as much info as Moby does.

I wouldn't bet on that. When I search for information about a specific game on-line, I usually go through several sources on different websites. And I remember having bookmarked/wrote down a couple of promising "universal gaming database"-style sites a bit of time ago.

I'd say Moby most likely has the most info about wide range of different platforms. There's some platform specific sites that got more info about the games on that specific platofrm, but as far a lot of info about different platforms in a single location goes, I'd say Moby takes the cake.

But anyway, I wouldn't mind if some new site would rise in front of Moby, as the site is quite rigid and in many cases very slow in what comes to adding new info. Sometimes the submitted info even stays in some sort of limbo, when nonoe of the admins feels like looking at it. I think some sort of Wikipedia style site would be much better alternative.

LOL, +1.
The only thing we can do right now is bomb the @GameFly Twitter account with messages about how everyone hates the new MobyGames layout. Flood the GameFly and MobyGames Facebook pages. Send emails to GameFly corporate.

The people who control the site now (who don't even USE it for anything but data mining) are not going to pay attention to the people that use the site unless we make a ruckus.
I wish it was just the layout I hated, but now I can't even get it to load screenshots of any games. Sometimes it won't even load the rest of the page!

What a giant mess.
And now the site is unavailable (HTTP error 503)....
Does nobody ever bother to poll the users before rolling out a new layout?

Windows 8. Do I need to add anything?

Yes. Is that a 'poll users' or 'idiotic design without consent'?
