Who here plays MMO's?

If so, does anyone play any of these?

The Old Republic
The Secret World
Guild Wars 2
Rift

Or plan to play:

Wildstar
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
Elder Scrolls Online

Or does anyone play Path of Exile?

Personally, I have the first four installed and I still regularly play Rift, with the others coming in second (though I need to even out gameplay between more of them). I'd also check out the others, but I'm not sure on personally paying for a subscription for yet another MMO, hence why I've invested so much time and money on GOG

I've played a lot of MMO's and of that list Rift I played for a good 6 months or so and then quit. I do plan on playing TESO when that becomes available, been following it for a good while now.

I'm always cautious of new MMO's these days, never know what to expect. And I've learned my lesson to not pre-order one. But if one turns out decent I invest in it and generally speaking enjoy it, at least for a bit.

After reading and watching more regarding TESO, it does look like it could be quite the open-world and customizable game I've been waiting for. However, I love player housing and in-depth crafting systems. The latter I believe it has, but I don't think it has housing. I suppose that's why I have Rift. If TESO turns out good I'll give it a go.

Well, I'm playing both TOR and TSW on and off, mostly soloing for the stories, but I also group for dungeons sometimes, more so in TOR than TSW.

Why do you want to know?
I play The Secret World occasionally, mostly solo for the story missions.
Ive never played any of those ones you have listed, I could do with a decent F2P mmo though, I pretty much have my eve accounts set up that they pay for themselves and only need tending once a week
I've been playing a lot of GW2 lately, though I actually got it around release. It took awhile for me to get a strong enough interest in it.

I bought The Secret World during Amazon's Mayhem sale, but my current internet setup is too slow to play it properly.

I'll probably be checking Rift out soon with it going f2p soon. Still going to try out the Lite version before I fork up money though.

Thankfully Rift is going free to play next week. The whole game is supposed to be unlocked as it is now, but they're of course adding subscriber benefits. If you have never tried Rift before, give it a shot. It has a good community, lots of options, and the housing system is amazing. I've been playing it straight since March 2011. Since it's release it's changed a LOT, but mostly for the better.

I may well do that, thank you
Played Old Republic in beta and liked it but not enough to subscribe.
Played Rift in beta and for a few months after because I really liked Trion but it bogged down after getting to 50, at least for me.
Have played Secret World in spurts and during freeplay weekend. Was bummed that it was on sale for $5 once and I didn't hear about it till after. Its free to play now right but you still have to buy the game? Think about doing it every so often but still haven't found a good enough sale to make it happen.

Might try out TES Online when it comes out, did sign up for beta.

I played MMO's for much of the last decade so catching up on other games that I missed during that timeframe.
I may go back to Rift when it goes f2p, but I'll probably look at my characters, see all the reset skillpoints and say fukit, I cba to reassign them and just log out again lol :)
I've played MMOs for quite a while and have enjoyed a few of them.

I've played World of Warcraft for a LONG time, gets old pretty quickly but the PvP is pretty fun.

Also played Warhammer Online. That was an awesome game. My fondest memories are of keep sieges and being either part of the shield wall, or one of the healers. The PvP is really fun imo.

Played Rift for a while when it was in beta, I had quite a bit of fun with the multiclassing, never got to the PvP though.

I played Path of Exile for a bit when my friends were playing, never experienced the PvP side of things or the races. I loved the passive skill tree and what you could do with the different classes.

Tera Online was also quite fun. Played on a PvP server (can you tell I like PvP?) with some friends but, like POE, I quit when they stopped playing. MMOs just aren't as fun without friends to play them with.

I liked EVE Online. Sure it was kinda slow, but once you get into it, my god is it fun. Again, I played with friends so that might change my view on it, but it was REALLY satisfying upgrading to a new ship and testing it out on your friends.

I've played Ragnarok Online for a while and quite enjoyed it, again with friends. I disliked the levelling in that game, the grinding was too intense. WOE was pretty cool I guess. It has a wierd art style that was pretty cool, I even tried spriting some hats.

Overall my favorites in order of entertainment are:
Warhammer Online (P2P)
Tera (Free)
Path of Exile (Free)
Ragnarok Online (Free if on a private server)
EVE Online (P2P)
WoW (P2P)

I think I'll try TESO and might go back to Warhammer, though the player base is quite low nowadays.
Anyways, that's my list, so yes, some of us do play MMOs.
I recently deleted 9 level capped characters from LOTRO (level 85) and a few close to that mark. I also played Rift and Guild Wars 2 for a bit, but have uninstalled all of them.

If I had to pick a favorite today, it would be Rift. I love their approach, stability, quality, communication, and customer support, but they don't have near the lore that LOTRO had.

The MMO model just isn't for me. I can manage my time much better with single player games.

Its been about 3 weeks since I stopped playing MMO's and I have knocked 5 games off my backlog while also having more time for life in general.

The only MMO that is mildly tempting is Neverwinter. Its advertised (and appears to be able to) play single play just like a Neverwinter game if you like. I leveled up to 10 in the open beta and that seems to be true. As they aren't likely to release a new Neverwinter single player campeign alongside the MMO with a player toolset... that is the best chance to play another Neverwinter game. Its also Free to play and it appears the store is not nearly as in your face as other games (its even less intrusive that other paid games).
