I understand, IAmSinistar, to each his own. Glad I could help anyway.

Even so, please be sure to keep checking on the list. Just like your database, I'm going to keep constantly updating mine. Feel free to snag any links that meet your criteria for inclusion.

Oh and I also found one song from the Privateer 2 soundtrack at [url=http://www.wcnews.com/wcpedia/Category:Privateer_2:_The_Darkening#Music]http://www.wcnews.com/wcpedia/Category:Privateer_2:_The_Darkening#Music[/url] which is the in-flight music you hear while flying through space. Not very exciting, I know, but still something.

To the Moon installs its soundtrack in .ogg format to its \BGM and \ME directories. The tracks are properly named, but I don't know how these files compare to the official soundtrack on Bandcamp.

-- Memoria - Official soundtrack available at the Daedalic-Shop.

-- Moto Racer - Official Soundtrack available for listening (and rather easy download) on the composer's (Raphaël Gesqua) site. He's also made it available on Youtube and that's what he's embedded on his site.

-- Moto Racer 2 - Only a poor and cut version of one track on the composer's (Christophe Rime) site.

-- Omikron: The Nomad Soul - Ok, we all know that David Bowie and Reeves Gabrels wrote part of the soundtrack (which means licensed music by certain labels). The rest of the soundtrack was written by Xavier Despas and selected tracks can be found here.

-- The Night of the Rabbit - alt source for the official soundtrack on the Daedalic-Shop.

well , when i entered the keywords memoria soundtrack in google, the daedelic link wasn't in the first page , but in the second one ;)

i found it while searching for Blackguards (1st result), otherwise i would have missed it.

-- Manhole: Masterpiece Edition - Didn't find anything, but according to this thread here, it's another case of extracting the music with Ron Hayter' Riveal app.

-- Montague’s Mount - No soundtrack released yet; the composer Andrea Baroni posted the following message on SoundCloud (): <div class="quot">- SOUNDTRACK ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED IN THE FIRST HALF OF 2014 - </div> -- <i>Papers, Please</i> - Didn't find anything, but according to the following comment on YouTube ([url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_7vF3_BBgY]link), the few music files (Theme/ Arstotzkan Anthem, Death and Victory) can be found within the game folders:

While looking for the POSTAL soundtrack, I stumbled upon the (apparently abandoned) free and open source app Dragon UnPACKer which can extract audio, video and images from game resource files. There's also a list of supported games, some of them also on GOG. I've bookmarked it to have a try at it.


EDIT: I just noticed that Eniena had already posted about the track from Privateer 2: The Darkening, so credit goes to him/her.

Thank you for reminding me of Dragon Upacker! I had completely forgotten it.
The dev is still working on it, by fits and starts: more recent news.

And here are my latest finds:

-- Freespace + Expansion --
While searching for the Red Faction soundtrack, I stumbled upon this (interesting reading) where Dan Wentz posted that he's put up on his [url=https://soundcloud.com/daniel-wentz]SoundCloud account the redo of the music from Freespace and Freespace 2. It's possible to download tracks from SounCloud in mp3 (either through a third-party site or a userscript), though usually only in low 128kbs - still better than nth?
Additionally, looking around in that forum, I'v come across this here:
This music pack contains high-quality music samples from the original Freespace soundtrack. The formats are mixed between .ogg and .flac.
The download link works.

-- Raiden Legacy - Selected tracks . There's a disclaimer regarding VGM World and Play-Asia for not listing the complete soundtracks (DotEmu mentions that the Raiden Series Original Soundtrack consists of 3-CDs). VGMWorld Shop closed in Dec 2012 and Play-Asia sells has the items of interest marked as "Out of print / Out of stock" ([url=http://www.play-asia.com/paOScore/19-71-mb-15-raiden-43-9v.html]link). So, probably safe to use.
Sadly, I was unsuccessful in finding that 3-CDs soundtrack anywhere for purchase.

-- Red Faction - No luck besides the remastered Red Faction Title Track on Dan Wentz SoundCloud (my search got mostly overshadowed by results related to Red Faction: Guerrilla and Red Faction: Armageddon).
Maybe if we contacted him he'd also redo the rest of the soundtrack? Maybe even Red Faction 2? I assume that he retained the rights to his works, seeing how Nordic Games has not included the soundtracks of Red Faction & Red Faction 2 here or at least in their Red Faction Collection for PC and PS3.

List updated. Once again ran out of room, so I had to move the Partial, Etc lists down even further. Towards that end, I wanted to solicit your opinions on the current format.

Should I start the list with all the games we have found links for, and then follow that with the list of games we are still seeking? Also, should the Partial Soundtrack items be mixed into the main list as well? Let me know what changes you think would make the whole thing more useful.

And nice to see Dragon Unpacker get a mention. I used that ages again back when I was ripping the soundtracks out of old games, and just reinstalled it recently to see what I could get off my remaining game CD library. It's a handy little tool alright!
