Psy-Ops is freeware, now, isn't it?

It's Adware in fact. For example, the US Army sponsored "Rise & Fall", also released as "Freeware" from Midway a few weeks ago.
They also did that with The Suffering.
Right, but I'd like a somewhat optimized, ad-free, drm-free version with all the usual goodies you get from GOG. And it certainly couldn't hurt Midways situation. :p
I hate those ads, it really breaks the pacing and setting.

But it could hurt my wallet! Does nobody think of my wallet? All the money i have spent on GOG.com already. All the money, i will spend in the future. And with the economy looking grimm ...
:)

That's what they get for fucking up UT3.

Wouldn't Epic be the one fucking up UT3? Midway published it, but it was developed by Epic no?
This really isn't surprising. I mean, what major titles does Midway HAVE?! Mortal Kombat's been run in to the ground, all of their arcadey sports titles have fallen flat, they keep trying to resurrect old series like Gauntlet and Rampage, and do so very badly...this company is absolutely dead.

They did, but when a game is published long before it's properly finished, it's usually because of pressure from the publisher.
I can agree with that, publishers can definitely put unnecessary pressure on developers, and I did hear that UT3 was not that polished.

What did they mess up with UT3? and remember curse-words are a no-no. (Remember there are Ghost Master Shoppers here).
I can't honestly tell you as I have not tried it, but reviews were saying that it was not as good as it should have. Not that I listen to reviews, as I said somewhere else, I enjoyed Daikatana on a certain level. But I am curious as to what people think was wrong with UT3
UT3 wasn't a bad game but there was nothing new to it, it was just UT2004 with better graphics which was disappointing.
When EPIC said it was going to have a story line, I thought "hurray, back to Unreal territory" but no, it was just different tournie modes with a vague semblance of story somewhere in between.
If you enjoyed UT2k4 you'd probably enjoy UT3. But it's a bit ... meh.
