I find it interesting that a clear majority of the people in this thread either pity their age or states that they look or act younger than they eventually are. Does this mean that people on gog are trying to relieve their yonger and perhaps happier years? In that case I find it interesting that the way to do this is to return to videogames - actually it's quite beautiful :P
and what are we looking at when it comes to middle age - around 30 right? sounds expected to me

I think it's more banter, I for one look forward to my 30s, it means that I can perhaps start wearing a monacle, or smoking a pipe (though I don't smoke, so it would purely be for effect - can you get them?)

I'm 31, too! Old enough to remember the Good Old Days of PC Gaming. Not that things are bad now, but there was definitely something those days of Baldur's Gate and Fallout that made me proud not to be gaming on a console.

I'm 42. I remember playing the Atari 2600 with an onion tied around my belt because that was the style at the time.

I don't like to think about my age. That's not true, it's more like I don't spare the time to think about my age. I just carry official ID with my birth date on it and show it to whatever authorities need to see it when they need to see it. I stopped counting the years after 21.

I don't think I'm trying to relieve my younger/happier years since I went through hardships at such young age. I think it's because I live in the moment so I'm trying to enjoying a lot of stuff when I can. For example, if there's a rose, I will stop and smell the rose, despite the schedule I'm on.

Also, I find people my age or much older than me are less inclined to do similar stuff with me so younger people are good for that.

But you're right about video games. There were lot of stuff that I want to play when I was kid but wasn't able to get it because of the money issues and I'm thankful that those games are still in demand nowadays so it's easy for me to obtain them.
