PoSSeSSeDCoW: Don't be daft. It's not renting, that's just a stupid straw man argument that people against DRM use when they don't feel like / know the real arguments.
I'm against DRM too. I just don't use lies to attempt to prove my point.
Was that supposed to be funny, or did it just come out that way? You kick this little conversation off with "Microsoft hasn't released a game on the PC in a very, very long time." then claim you don't use lies to make a point? LOL No sense in trying to claim the high ground when you start off in a ditch.
Anyway, yes, there are far worse things that I could accuse EA of than churning out rentware, given the damaging malware they use. But I didn't feel like going on a full blown rant. I was hoping that most people here were already familiar with the horror stories.
But, as far as I'm concerned - if the malware makes the game unplayable, install limits or no, you have no actual ownership of the title.
