The new studio being run by 'Wild Bill' Stealey is a good sign, the mention of MMOs aren't really but you never know what they'll come up with.

Micropose GOOD. MMO's BAAAAAAD.
In all seriousness though, my hopes were slightly elevated when I clicked on this thread; however, my hopes were thoroughly crushed by its contents.
I got the impression that the games they're planning on making wouldn't ALL be MMOs but I have a sad feeling I'm probably wrong.
My god, it would be great if they come back with some serious simulation stuff!
Just remember, back in the days...
This MMO crap just pisses me off more and more. Seems like the game industry will be the first industry with just one mainstream and no alternatives to speak of. Sucks in my book.
Keyboard overlays, don't forget about them! ah the days......
Sounds like they're just throwing themselves on the MMO-bandwagon. A waste of good people, IMO.
Maybe it's going to be like, design your own Apache Helicopter and You get quests from HQ like, go the the mountain regions and blow up some huts and bring back Ammo crate of +2 damage... ;)
Hmm I don't know. It seems like everyone just wants to make some mainstream appeal game these days, especially when it comes to MMOs. Unless a developer proves me wrong, CCP seem to be the only guys who are willing to take risks in the MMORPG market
The singleplayer market is still doing well, especially in the indie scene, when it comes to complex games though
B-17 Flying Fortress Online?
World Of Gunship?
A Covert Action MMO could be really good - at least it couldn't be any more confusing or erratic than the original.
I loved that game.

Aliasalpha: World Of Gunship?

NATO Commander Online, with microtransactions?
MMO's aint all bad, there are a ton on the horizon that break the mold from the standard wow(eq, everquest etc) style of MMO. What these guys bring to the table we don't know yet but I'm looking forward to what they annouce.
Okay, let's face it: This isn't going to be Civilization or Alpha Centauri or anything like that.
That being said, I'm interested in seeing how that Star Trek Online MMO game will do with Cryptic Studios (if they are still doing it).
BJ
Xcom MMO now that would be sweet.
