I've just tried to play Messiah from GoG, but I ran into some problems.

First of all when I double click the Messiah icon a small window box appears with resolutions to pick.
If I choose the 1024x768 game starts normally. Any resolution beyond that (1280x800 or 1440x900) crashes the game.

With the 1024x768 I started the game. The intro video played great. However when the game starts the graphics are messed up.
Tried changing the graphics from the ingame options, but no luck.
Graphics keep being scrambled.

Any idea what's causing this? Is there a solution?

Are you running Windows 7 64bit? I haven't got the game (nor the problem, obviously) but I found this thing in the Messiah boards:
Messiah - Windows 7 issues - Alfheira's post
Check the Messiah forum - there are lots of potential workarounds for bugs there.
Find the game's cfg or ini files and change the game to a resolution that matches your monitor ratio(4:3, 16:9, etc) and doesn't go above your monitor's max resolution. Using a resolution that uses a ratio your monitor doesn't support or which goes beyond the max limit of your monitor for resolution can crash some games.

I'm using Vista 32bit .
As long as Messiah begins even with a 1024x768 resolution, I don't think the problems is about the resolution.
The graphics were so scrambled, like it doesn't recognize my card.

I had the same problem some years ago when I tried to play the original version.

It worked fine for me...again it could be your card or monitor doesn't like certain aspect ratios....try editing the cfg file with a custom resolution and report back.
