The internet is of course full of memes, some funny and clever, but others tedious and annoying. Now which of the latter category you think should just die already imo the Ron Paul 2012 is getting annoying and needs to die besides the old man never had a chance to win in the first place judging by the votes.
I like memes, but obviously the vast majority is horribly over and misused and becomes forced 'humour.'
Done well, they are hilarious, so I don't think that any of them should be written off.

Well, that's two more than there are for me.
Some of the fus-do-ra ones were pretty good, but the hilarity was pretty much due to the underlying clip and not the meme itself.

I will tell one of the arrow knee joke that made me laugh though:

"I was just talking with James Bond over the phone just now, but then I took in arrow to the knee" the joke was about the ending of 007 Casino Royale :)

Never knew that was a meme
Old memes never die, they just...fade away.
All of them. Portal, Skyrim, the troll "y u no..." stuff, and so on and so forth. Besides the fact that none of these memes are actually funny. What's worse about it is that a lot of people seem to think they're being clever by using them. No. No, you're not.

Can't express yourself? Use a meme! Ugh!

Any idea that spreads is technically speaking a meme. Meme did not originally refer to silly things on the internet that gets repeated over and over:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meme

Anyway, I would not mind if all memes of the general "arrow to the knee" type to disappear. Basically any meme that can easily be applied to any number of situations, and that only requires a minor edit each time. They usually get repeated over and over and over again, and just get frustrating to read.

Exactly my thoughts. I don't understand the phenomenon at all. I preferred when all this stuff was contained in 4chan.

If you were to say something like "I'm going to take a bath," the Soviet Russia version is "In Soviet Russia, bath takes you."
The cake is a lie. And My Little Pony.
