Hello, does anyone know if GOG is working to release digital form of Mechwarrior 2? They released Wing Commander 3 and 4, which are two of my favorite space flight simulators, and I say why not MW2 as well?? I have Windows 95 version of the game and its expansion, but the game does not recognize my joystick, and keyboard control is messed up! I'm using Windows 7 64bit, by the way. I really hope they release this one soon.

Not likely, a company named Harmony Gold is being a IP troll towards the Mechwarrior franchise. Mechwarrior originally ripped off a lot of mech designs from Japanese comics and anime. This was discovered years later and they eventually made good with the Japanese creators but Harmony Gold had an exclusive USA license for some works (through Macross/ Robotech). It's a mess and the IP issues aren't clear cut.

I believe MW2 uses certain mechs that Harmony Gold has rights. I believe these are now call 'unseen mechs'.

Yes, the MechWarrior 2 games include several of the Unseen. MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries has a different selection that includes only one or two of the Unseen, but that's probably still one or two too many to make it OK.

Additionally, the BattleTech electronic games rights are now held by Microsoft, not Activision, so even without the problem of the mechs the IP as a whole might be a barrier.
