I am looking for games where you can be a mean SOB (character wise) and still beat the game. Obviously this will have to be more about RPGs, but if FPS, Action, Adventure, Strategy games give you this option, I am fine with them too.
It doesn't have to be the only way to play the game, but it can be an option, for example Fallout series.

Arcanum from GOG. Duke Nukem 3D too.
Or, Chronicles of Riddick if you're looking for games in general.

KOTOR, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, screw it. Pretty much every Bioware game ever made.

Fallout by all means. ;) [i know the man mentioned it, but it kinda sets the standard for being a SOB...or a hooker;P]
Dungeon Keeper 1&2, and those s..tty Overlord games.
