Just so you know, McAffie is telling me it is 'blocking suspicious content' on Gog.com. Mostly the bar at the top. Frankly McAffie has gotten really, really paranoid in the last few months but you might want to send them a message about it or something.
Well... i think that bar is been pretty suspicious also. It follows me around the room and stares at me.
I half hoped this was about the person not the anti-virus snake oil.
In my opinion all anti-virus software is snake oil and crap, and they all show how inept they are. Just think about how many virus software killed itself or its operating system with updates in 2012 alone.
I am working at a very big company right now (till end of month), big enough to pay Kaspersky (their anti-virus de jour) for updates especially made for them. And even these expensive special signature updates were so broken one time last year that most Windows 7 PCs did not boot properly any more, and most of the ones that booted could not start Lotus Notes, the only email program allowed in the company,

- What?
- The bar.

You're ok so long as it doesn't talk to you. But if it does, ask for a joke; the thing's hilarious.
I agree, they are snake oil. I've seen them detect thousands of viruses on computers I know are clean. Unfortunately you can't go about on the internet for very long without one before some piece of crap infects your system.

Simple answer is delete McAfee, and install Avast! or MSSE.

You obviously need to uninstall McAfee. Here, let John McAfee tell you how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=bKgf5PaBzyg

The guy is filthy rich and bonkers. But yeah, his method is certainly better. He's got bad taste when it comes to hookers though. Either that or he got the cheapest deal he could :)
