This looks very much Die Hard 4...
Haven't played MP2 yet, will have to grab a copy before this lands.
I hope this isn't going to be a massive disappointment.

It'll be toned down to a mindless third person shooter with a cover system and quick time events. The PC port will suck balls because no one cares about PC gamers anymore. These are facts.

Agreed, MP3 is going to be shiatty.
EDIT:
Cancel that, there have always been console version of the max payne games, if they stay true to the way they have been, it'll be just as awesome an experience on console as PC. Max Payne has been known for this. Although it's possible they could follow the current trend, I would hope for more from a franchise that's known as being faithful to all players.

Cancel that, there have always been console version of the max payne games, if they stay true to the way they have been, it'll be just as awesome an experience on console as PC. Max Payne has been known for this. Although it's possible they could follow the current trend, I would hope for more from a franchise that's known as being faithful to all players.

I'm expecting them to pull a GTA4 in terms of port quality (ie 5 programs to get the game installed and SecuROM and activations and etc.) and you know they'll follow the current trend (dumb down games for casuals) just look at FEAR 1 -> FEAR 2

Rage will be the first 'built with crossplatform support' for them (read, console port to pc).
I dont hold much out for MP3.
MP2 really was not very good.

Also, DOW1 -> DOW2, Fallout 1+2 -> Fallout 3, TF2+everything else Valve has made thus far ->L4D, POP 1-3 -> New POP, RE4 -> RE5, etc.

Maybe it's optimized to run like butt on a pc and it's perpetually running in bullet time, or 10 fps.

Agreed, it'd be like one frame you're in one side of a room, next thing you see you're outside and it's snowing. (I vaguely remember that it was always snowing in Max Payne, it's definitely been a while since I played them)

From what I've read, the original team from 'Remedy ' is not that involved. I know at least a few people on the internet will be upset at that.
Never played the first two, so my interest is pretty much null.
Also, MP3? Confusion with a popular extension for music files is going to be high...
