An update on my situation. GamersGate support tells me that their US version of ME2 DDE gets only gets 3 serials (1 game + 2 DLC) and the UK version gets 4 serials (1 game + 3 DLC). Being both pre-orders they should unlock the same DLCs (Incissor, Collector's stuff, Cerberus and Inferno Armor).
In my case my 3 serials didn't get me the Inferno Armor and GG's support says that the serials are provided by EA and they have no control over them but their store page said I'd get the Inferno Armor so someone did something wrong here.
GG's staff is telling me that I'm the only one with this problem so I want to confirm some things:
- I need people that pre-ordered ME2 DDE (US version) from GamersGate to tell me how many serials they received and if they unlocked the Inferno Armor.
- Does anybody remember reading that the US version of ME2 would get the Inferno Armor? I remember seeing that in GG's store page for ME2 but maybe I'm remembering it wrong.
I'm really frustrated over this. I don't even want the Inferno Armor that much but it bothers me that I may have been lied to by GG or screwed by EA.

Here's a handy dandy guide to Mass Effect DLC!
Finally received my copy. Played the first 30 minutes.
My face was like that --> *___*

An even handier guide to EA's new DLC policy.

My response is similar to this. I bought the download version at for £25, and plan to get the game on disk when it's £15 or lower. I'd just play the game and not get too concerned about lack of some kind of armour.

Oh, it'll be cheaper than that. EA's games lose value faster than a politician's promise. You could easily wait until it's about £5 - 10 or so.
I might be more tempted to get their games now, but I've got so many others to play that there's no point.
To be fair, the armor DLCs are really lackluster (although, my Renegade Space Lesbian looks nice in Inferno Armor). You can't even swap out parts of it like with the N7 armor, and they all have forced helmets.
'tis a shame that only Gamestop (or whatever) got the sniper rifle.
Just an FYI - that chart includes the Dr Pepper DLC which WILL NOT be available in any GOTY bundle.
FYI - I got it all last night. :D
Since I got this thing on Friday, I've logged like a dozen hours already. This thing is relentless in its hold on me. Gah. Soooooooo good.
I continue to be amazed at all the little details and throwbacks to the first game that get brought in if you import a save file from the first game. You expect imported saves to carry over main plot points. Things like whether Wrex made it or not... whether it was Ashley or Kaidan who went KIA on Virmire. But you don't expect to be getting E-mails from someone you helped in a relatively minor quest back on the Citadel in the first game. Or to run into corporate security agents (I'm looking at you, Ms. Parasini) on Illium that you'd helped out on Noveria.
They're just small details, but add them all up, and it just makes things seem so much more... alive. Also, I like the new conversation "Interrupt" system, and the way that the conversations look more cinematic. It's not just talking heads, anymore. Characters will get up from their chairs, pace around the room, lean on the furniture, things like that. It does make talking seem less static, and that's really nice.
I'm also enjoying the new planetary scan system. The first time I had to hunt down an anomaly, I felt like a sub sonar operator, looking at the waterfall cascade display, sitting there with my headphones on, trying to sound out where the signal was coming from, what direction to go in... it's just a neat effect.
The combat's a lot smoother, though that could just be because I'm playing as a soldier and basically running my fights like an FPS, so... (Shrug.)
Still, so far, I'm -really- enjoying it. I pretty much expected I would, but it's nice to have those expectations confirmed. :D

Yeah I know that the armors aren't really important but it was a matter of principle: I should have gotten all that was promised at the store page when I pre-ordered.
Anyway, this story had a happy ending after all. I chatted with an EA support representative and he gave me a code for the Inferno Armor. He didn't ask for any sort of proof of purchase, only for one of the codes I had already redeemed to check it in their system.
I started playing last weekend and the game is great. The combat is much more polished now and I am beginning to notice some of the subtle consequences of my actions in the first ME.
Yes! I might get to screw Garrus!
