In other news, Facebook will buy Google soon to get Google Glass. (I hope this remains a joke!)

It's only 1% of FBs current valuation. Half the daily trading volume, it would be very easy in a short period of time.

BUT, it is restricted stock, so they aren't allowed to, for a while.

Pickle1477: I just don't see this tech taking off. The barriers to purchase as a consumer will always be too high for most people i.e. too expensive with too few game support. Too much of a novelty idea, in my opinion.
That's why Facebook's angle on it is useful. You need more than games to make VR successful, and if Facebook can push the social angle that might drive adoption.

GFWL anyone? While it isn't exactly cloud computing, it is online DRM.
At least a lot of games will be patched, but the rest is unplayable without (then legal according to German law and probably illegal according to U.S. law) cracks.

Well, I guess I'm not going to be able to use this. It'll probably have an obnoxious FB tie in where you have to have a FB account to make full use of it.

As if there aren't enough bullshit sites and shit forcing people to use FB if they want to use the site.

Hedwards I can't agree More I got my Samsung Galaxy SIII it was a Prick to set up! My Samsung g4 Galaxy SIII I finally got working tried to sign in to google play Grrrrrr.. It created 15 new ACCOUNTS with sixty different Passwords to places I don't even know existed and I deleted every one I set it up JUST so I could Download mTaxi I got mTaxi finally I did that because the taxi serivices call center is shit where I live 4 1/2 Hours for a TAXI! so Now I can check how LONG it will take
