anyone here a fan? if so what is your favourite tunes from him?
Sure, my favorites are probably:

The Beautiful People
I Don't Like the Drugs (but the drugs like me)
The Dope Show
No Reflection
If I Was Your Vampire
Arma-Goddamn-Motherfuckin-Geddon

And his covers of:
Personal Jesus (Depeche Mode)
Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics)
Tainted Love (Ed Cobb)
I Put a Spell on You (Screamin' Jay Hawkins)

Lately though I've been listening to Bobaflex (Tales from Dirt Town album), Avenged Sevenfold (Hail to the King album), The Pretty Reckless (Going to Hell album), Orden Odan (The Things We Believe In is awesome), Saltatio Mortis (especially Ebenbild), and Corvus Corax (fantastic drumming and one of the few bagpipers I like). By the way, if you've never played Brütal Legend you might want to try it. It is really, really rocking and good, solid fun.
All his stuff is good, and I think "Born Villain" is great, but sadly didn't seem to get much notice. "The Gardener" is awesome.
I would add Coma White and Coma Black to the previous lists also...
The guy defines overrated. He hasn't done anything creative or relevant since Mechanical Animals.

Edit: I don't mean to offend, I quite enjoyed those trio of albums.

People still care about Manson?

Guess we might as well add Nickelback and Linkin Park discussions to this thread. You know, to keep things... contained. :D

He was great up to Mechanical Animals, then he went good for like Holywood and the next one and then i stopped caring much. The Eat me drink me thing was a superhuge fail especially with the addition of stupid guitar solos.
Yeah, I'd also say the first 3 albums are the only ones worth bothering with

The Reflecting God
God is in the TV
Get your Gun

Are 3 of my favourites that haven't been mentioned yet
If you read The Reflecting God's credits is actually more of an NIN song that Manson happens to perform - which is why its so good IMO!
He's a pretty cool person, besides being a skilled artist. ^^
He managed to be a fine American version of David Bowie by updating facets of Bowie's 70s work and personae for the 90s. Completely unlike Bowie though, he failed to change and evolve in any meaningful way.

I met him whilst doing security and he was a complete knob. Treated every member of staff like shit and ignored the general public like they were below him.

yeah, that's pretty much him.
Instead of doing more and exploring other stuff he just went on drinking and doing stupid shit. He obviously had a huge potential, and i actually hope he still can utilize that potential some day, but he just went down the path of selfimportance delusion and alcohol and his works went downhill since Mechanical animals even though Holywood and the one after that were still quite decent.
Never cared for Marilyn Manson. I'm more of a Thrash Metal guy.

Might seem strange, but I really like the Resident Evil main theme; which Manson collaborated on.
