Hooray, I spent about 3 hours recording this afternoon and did loads! Basically only need to mix it now.
Is this competition open for those who entered a previous part of the creative trilogy?

Sure. The more, the merrier.

Made in obscure '96 three channel mono tracker, so all you hipsters need this on your ipods.

Entry time!

Mine is a cover, hopefully at least one person will recognise it. Please listen on headphones if you can!

I used (in no particular order):

Electric guitar
Electric bass
Harmophone (German reed organ in a suitcase)
Zanzithophone (80s electronic toy saxophone)
Tin whistles in the keys of C and G
A mellotron emulation plugin
Some vocals
A reverb impulse response made by hitting an old piano with the dampers off. =D
And now(!) electric mandola.

I arranged it as a round because the original piece is less than 10 seconds long. That made it about 16 seconds long, but with the crazy 19 second reverb tail it ended up being 35 seconds so I had to manually fade it out to keep within 25 seconds.

Hope people like it (and recognise it)! I think other people who've submitted totally original works deserve more credit, so remember that I didn't compose this piece of music, I just arranged/performed/recorded/produced/whatever'd it.

That'll be difficult unless you fix the link.

Didn't you read the message? :P

That is to say, I've decided that one of the harmonies is a bit on the loud side and I need to mix it down again.

Ah sorry! I posted the link originally, then came back and removed it so that no one could hear it while I was typing the message.

Sorry? I thought you just mistyped the link as "www."

By the way, thanks for reminding me of Soundcloud, I was looking for that site but couldn't remember the name when I made the opening post.

I thought if I let anyone hear it I might lose my chance to revise it so I quickly broke the link. Also yeah, soundcloud's a pretty cool site if you want to host a lot of sound clips. I believe the free account gives you about 2 hours worth of hosting.

Miaghstir:
I just want to warn everybody about using filedropper. I just checked the link and my file was gone (even though it's supposed to be there for 30 days). Luckily I kept my entry on my laptop. I re-uploaded my entry and downloaded it only to find out it cut off like 23 seconds. So, I made a tindeck link.
