That's kickass. I used to think that the only problem with Majesty was the dithering - now it's absolutely beautiful.

Oh, the demo. I played it somewhere in 1998 or 99 and I was so enthusiastic about it. It was like nothing like I've ever played by then. I even replayed it many times. It took me about more than 10 years to actually play it.

I would guess not, but check your Digital Items list (under Your Account) and see if it's a new download. If you have not purchased it yet simply buy the HD version to start with (should be in the product description at least, whether it's the HD version or not).

It is my very first video of this type, and in fact very first video ever. I fully expect future videos to be better, though for a first attempt, I don't find this one to be that bad.

I'll edit out the short loading screen in any future videos.

Wait, does this actually add new textures and graphics, or is the only change the ability to scale resolution higher?

Somehow I wouldn't be interested in a 3D-like "remake" in disguise.

It's more or less just supporting new resolutions, bug fixes, a few tweaks, and a couple new missions that weren't in it before.

Yeah but compare screens of original Gold and HD, they have clearly added new textures on the buildings, units and terrain, I like Majesty for the Age of Empire-like old isometric feel.

Look at the tops of the buildings, and the units, and the terrain, it's softened, looks more like a newer RTS now. Even the steam page itself says graphical changes have been implemented.

It's like if they re-released Duke Nukem 3D, but you could only play with the high-resolution pack running. As an example

I'm sure someone has suggested getting Paradox on GOG before, it's weird because Majesty Gold and most Paradox games are available on basically every online game store on the net, except here.

I think Paradox will never join to GOG . The main reason is the money . They love the $1 = 1€ crap . ( see GamersGate or any online store )
