...on the PSN.
DAMNIT, EA! I like Magic Carpet, but why the PS1 version? Why not bring that sweet Bullfrog goodness to GOG?
You should be happy EA are exploring their old games. It increases the chances that EA will appear on GOG.
Ehm, I'd say it decreases the chance they'll release it on GOG and increases the chance that they'll re-release them themselves.
This is most likely motivated by Sony rather than EA themselves. Sony wants to sell all the PS1 titles they can, and since all the developer has to do is supply a disc image and watch the profits roll in it's a very attractive option for both parties. EA is much more likely to go to Steam than GOG, unfortunately.

Did you imagine Activision would join GOG? No? Then lets be positive.
I'm still hoping the March announcement will be Month of EA.

YES!!!!
...Wait, PS1 version? But this is really a PC game at heart!
Still, at least EA hasn't forgotten about it. Maybe we'll see both games here on GOG in a nice US$5.99 compilation.
Hasn't that been on the PSN for months now?

It also increases the chances that now, EA is going to be milking their old franchises again D:
Pee Ess Enn? That crappy thing that is way worse than XBL? Hmm.

EA want maximum profit for little investment yes? They could spend all the money on getting their old games to run on modern OS's or they could just sit back and let GOG do the work.
What I meant was EA getting interested in reviving their old franchises again. May not be a bad thing, but I didn't like C&C3 or RA3

Bad example. A lot of people me included liked C&C3 and RA3.

Ahh but then they'd have to put up with the $10 maximum price (unless the rumoured price structure change includes an increase), I'd imagine them seeing the potential frenzy for their older catalogue and pricing something like syndicate at $15
