All this reminds me, I wish GOG would supply a Mac installer for the DOSBox games, since they play without a problem, you just can't extract the games from the Windows Executable files.

The list of Newegg parts is obviously leaving out the platinum, diamond encrusted case.

Honestly, this sort of trolling is tired beyond belief. There's plenty of rational arguments for why a Mac wouldn't be a good choice for a lot of computer users, or even why building a Hackintosh would perhaps be the best route for some, but this is just silly. You'd might as well trot out the old argument that Napster's subscription plan was better than the iTunes Store.
Also, yeah, the main issue for accessing the data files for DOSBox games is either access to a Windows machine or access to an Intel Mac. Sadly, I don't know of any easy solutions for people on PPC Macs.

Mac Pro's don't cost anywhere near that, my dad was looking into getting one but the model he was looking at was $6000 with all accessories. I question the validity of the website listing it for that much.
That being said, I own a Macbook Pro for school. I've owned Sony and Asus laptops before. I got the Mac because it doesn't crash at all compared to my prior laptops, and doesn't come with tons of bloat preinstalled.

Trolling it may be but I still got a laugh. Macs, more expensive and do less just so you think you're badass for buying it.
Yes, the previous sentence was trolling but it don't matter because it's sadly true. Personality comes at a cost is the lesson here..........

Macs have always been stupidly overpriced.

Mac's are awesome for any musician or artist. Just because it isn't a gaming machine, don't assume that it does less.
EDIT: I have done music work on XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Mac. Mac is 10x easier to edit on and is a bit more stable, since music companies tend to work on their drivers more for Mac's than for PC's.

I can't speak for music editing but my video editing experiences were identical on an XP computer and a mac. Without some revolutionary interface, it all comes down to software which has nothing to do with apple or microsoft (unless they're the ones who make it obviously).
In fact whilst my mac experiences have been relatively limited, I've never seen them do anything a PC cant. Well aside from getting away with inflated prices

Did you try Crossover? I don't have a Mac but read that it is possible to start exe programs with it.
EDIT: Oops, sorry, that's commercial! Maybe just try to run the exe on a virtual machine.
You also could try using a memory card and copy the exe to it so a friend with Windows can install it and move the installation to the memory card so you can use it that way.

Why did you feel the need to create an entirely new thread just for one image when we already have a "post stupid/funny pictures" thread?
Creating a thread that is basically says nothing more than "something sucks" would probably be considered trolling to most people.

The newegg build didn't have a case or a motherboard. Not that it'd cost $13,000.
Also the Mac uses ECC ram I believe. Standard "gaming" Ram isn't the same thing.
This would be the RAM you're looking for, which is actually cheaper than the gaming ram. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139048
Oh and don't pick a gaming motherboard, you'd need a server motherboard to match the Mac Pro.

I'm a graphic designer so I use Macs regularly but my main work station is still a PC at work for several reasons. I don't have to pay for those Macs though but when I saw a bill for our new hardware, I did gulp quite loudly. A same-specced PC would cost half the price Apple charge and would not have the whole range of problems our current Macs have which includes networking difficulties, not playing nice with our servers, printer problems etc. Some of it is most likely drivers and other stuff that can be solved but the network problems are quite annoying and would be very expensive to fix so we can't.
Anyway, normal users who aren't afraid of buttons should stick to PCs. I never got why students wanted to get a Macbook Pro just to take to classes with them when they don't even have any graphics software installed. Well, I DO get it - they're idiots who think it makes them look "trendy". There's much cheaper alternatives that will work just as well and with batteries that last just as long.
