Namur: I just checked and to me on GG it's 11,21€ ($16,48)
On D2D, US storefront since the game is marked as available worldwide there, it's the $14,95 i mentioned.
Not a big difference, and surely not one that justifies using D2D if you don't like it. And i didn't even looked into the $-€ vs £-$ differences but i suspect that makes the difference even more neglectable...
As for the DRM free aspect on GG, i would assume it is DRM free, but i can't be sure.

I find D2D to be highly incompetent when it comes to managing transactions. Which is hardly an attractive quality. Add to that the regional restrictions and regional price fixing and I'd rather just forget the site exists, to be honest.
Yes, I'm 99% sure it will be DRM free through GG. If not I can always buy it direct from the developer's site. That way I'd imagine they get a better cut too.

Agreed, and i'm actually looking into that right now.
It's 11,20€ for me buying directly from Amanita's store, so i gues i'll be getting it there.

Navagon: I liked it. Loved the art style used in the game. Far better than even their previous efforts.
I'm looking into my buying options. Does anyone know if the Gamersgate version has DRM? I doubt it seeing as it's a Flash game, but you can never be too sure. It's the cheapest version I've found anyway.

Not too sure what anyone's DRM setup for it is yet...would be kind of nice to know.

Well, I wound up ree-ordering it from the Machinarium site. That seems like the best possible option to me.
Probably the best idea. At least that way the dev gets most of the money, too.

The pack just makes me want to play the game more... At least I have The Neverhood to play in the meantime.

Yeah, same here. I can't wait to play this one.
Funny thing, i still didn't get an email confirming my preorder. I downloaded the pack on that page that comes up after completing the preorder but so far no email...

I have received two emails from them so far. One about the pack, the other about the order, telling me that more information will be provided regarding it soon. As long as the download link shows up on Friday, I'm happy.

Yep. It's not there...

Maybe they take a while because they're backed up with a lot of requests. Who knows? They may not be as polished as 2D Boy, who handled his pre-orders very well.
Anyway, does this make more sense than Brain Pipe? If so, tempting...

There are a couple of instances of other people having trouble receiving the preorder emails on their forum and they sort those out fast, so no worries.
I never played Brain Pipe, but i think that playing the Machinarium demo will give you some idea of what it's all about. It all makes perfect sense to me ;)
Or you could give Samorost a go (it's free). Even if Machinarium seems much better than Samorost or even Samorost 2, playing those will give you some insight into how the devs minds work.
Samorost 2 it's not free, though, but there's always the demo...

Ok, mistery solved. My damn ISP blocks the mails from Amanita's e-commerce service for some reason
Gave them another email account and that was it, problem solved.
Very happy customer here. Top knotch support.
