People are all excited for this adventure game, when they're forgetting Full Pipe was very similar to this, and Full Pipe ended up sucking because you couldn't understand a damn thing that was going on.

This looks like it might be interesting... but then again it also looks like it might be one of those adventure games that turns out ot be arbitrarily hard because you don't understand how the game world works and there's no one to explain it to you.

Exactly. I couldn't stand Full Pipe, because everything functions with their world's logic, and that logic is bats**t insane. The puzzle with the two dials in this trailer look just as awful, and I want no part of an adventure where I have to bang my head repeatedly against the wall, trying every single possible combination because I don't understand what bizarre rules the world follows.
Thanks - I had begun Samorost and never completed and lost the link. If you haven't tried Samorost, you should.
Samarost was interesting. I like the artistic style of the games, but Machinarium is the best. I hope they can get it done soon, I've been eyeing it for a long time.
Not that I'm going to buy it anytime soon, due to lacking funds, but hey I'd love to see this get commercial success.
Artistically sound, unfortunately and probably lacking in the logical puzzle department. I'd get it simply because I like the look of it, but the last time I did that I ended up with Touch Detective on the DS; let me assure you the puzzles were not logical -at all-
To give you some idea what I mean, here is a quote from GameFAQS walk-through:
"Close the roof-top door and take the pump back to Cormwell and get it fixed. Once it's done, go to the Condominium and speak to Beatrice the landlord (ED: who is a talking chicken). When she comes out, pump her up with your pump"
I expect such mental ideas from Machinarium really.

Well Samarost had gameplay similar to what you described, so I think it'd be right to expect something like that in Machinarium too
Btw Rommy I've emailed you, but I haven't got a reply from you yet.
