A highly underrated adventure game classic here.

LordKuruku: ...and Super Mario Bros 3 is a platformer that doesn't get nearly the love it deserves. -_-;

Seriously, in what universe is Grim Fandango underrated? Is it the same universe I keep hearing about where nobody bought or played Psychonauts? :O
My thoughts exactly.... I have seen 3-4 want threads of this game this month alone.

Even Yoda Stories? O_o|
Tie Fighter Collector's CD-ROM! Best PC game ever! Hmmm what about that game where you manage heaven and hell? I forgot the name. Think it's Afterlife.

I'd love to see this here.

dudalb: BTW Maniac Mansion is included in DOTT; any of the many fan websites for Lucas arts adventure games will tell you where it is hidden.
In addition, there is a port to a modern computer called Maniac Mansion Deluxe. I am not sure of the legality, but Lucasarts has not bothered the people who made it so they probably do not care.
I'd rather not have to start up Day of the Tentacle to play Maniac Mansion. When I play Maniac Mansion, I try to pretend that Day of the Tentacle never happened.

lawl.
I think it is closer to say that Grim Fandango never got the popualrity that is deserved then to say it is underrated. When it came out, the reviews were very good, and most of those who played it loved it, but it did not sell very well,and if fact, it's failure was a major factor in Lucasarts giving up adventure games. It and the Last Express are considered by many to be examples of great games that sadly came along at a time when Adventure games were being killed off by the First Person Shooters.

No, don't blame it on fps. Lucas Arts also let its very popular Dark Forces 2 fps die around the same time ( Jedi Outcast/ Academy were much later and done by Raven). They seem to have gone insane around the release of episode 1. A pity.

Its not often we have games that are set in the Mexican underworld with the main character being a traveling agent of sorts for the dead that wants to go to heaven.
Plus its artstyle was made by the man who would later make Psychonauts.
that's one i really like to see on gog.

i never got the chance to play it.

Oh, the useless wishlist. Hmm, what to vote for? Super Mario RPG, or Speer Mario Legend of the Seven Stars? Maybe Cho Ren Sha 68k, or perhaps Lugaru HD? Oh, I know! How about Starcraft II? -_-;

In case you haven't figured out why the GOG team hasn't put a link to the list in plain view on the main page, well... hate to break it to you, but the list is a joke. Linking people there ranks somewhere below linking somebody to an internet petition.

What? I'm not even asking that anyone agree with me on this. I just want people to stop, think logically for a bit, and realize that there are a lot of very strong gameplay and content differences between Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle, and realize that a person who is a huge fan of Maniac Mansion, and someone who(at the time) thought Maniac Mansion changed everything about games for them forever, might dislike Day of the Tentacle as a sequel to what may be their most beloved game of all time. Is this so much of a problem that it deserves a wave of the hand and a complete dismissal of the opinion's very validity? I mean, even for a huge fan of the sequel in question(which you obviously are, I can see your forum icon after all), that seems a bit rude.

Oh come on, don't be an ass. =P
