Forgive me if there was a thread, I looked through 4 pages and searched, but GOG needs a better search thing.
Anyway...
Lost Horizon demo! It was good, if you are an adventure game fan. I never played one of this company's games before but I am a fan now for sure... just ordered Secret Files off amazon and pre-ordered the second Secret Files. No pre-order for Lost Horizon yet though, strangely...
The drawn art backgrounds and the polygonal characters blend in a way rarely seen in the genre and the whole thing has a strong vibrancy to it that really appeals to me. Throw in the fact it is set in the 30's, a great period for adventure stories, and I was almost sold right away. Anyone else try it?

Btw. would you recommend Secret Files? I've never played it and I have a craving for some point and click right now.
Is it more story driven or puzzle driven? I like lots of dialogue ;).

I don't know, as I said I just ordered Secret Files from amazon based on how much I liked the demo for Lost Horizon. I'll be happy to provide some input after I play it though!

I've just played the demo. I haven't finished it though since I'll be most certainly getting the full version and I don't want to spoil myself any fun.
I loved it. It's very atmospheric, the art gorgeous and I am also digging the style of the character models. Really impressed, it gave me that small, nostalgic Broken Sword vibe.
I think I'll get myself the Secret Files right now as well :P
edit: Was the second part not released in the States or something? I've seen the Secret Files 2 just today in my local store (Polish and English version in one box) and it was as cheap as 10$.
edit2: Now I am actually pissed I haven't picked both of the Secret Files games while I was at the store. The steam has the second part for 30 euros. What the hell o_o

Secret Files 2 does not come out in the states until November 5th, oddly. I see now it came out in the UK already... how annoying. Game.co.uk is out of it too, which is the only UK store that exports PC games to the US in my experience, so I guess I will wait. It is out on Steam in the US, but I much prefer a box... 3 months of waiting for a box is crap though.

I was talking about Lost Horizon in the quoted segment, if you look. Secret Files 2 is coming to the US in November, many months after the UK release. Lost Horizon might do the same I guess, but I'm fine with importing the UK one... only difference should be the PEGI symbol.
