Guacamole based metroidvania... SOLD!

I totally mean this as a compliment, but I always got the vibe from you that any game using a Mexican wrestler as it's protagonist would be a must buy for you. I know it is for me. The only problem is I feel I'll need to be wearing a Luche mask while playing to really get into it. :D

No, that's totally a compliment and a very real truth. I bought that Luchador for PS3 just to have it. I don't even have my PS3 anymore but I had that game bronzed and put on my mantle.

It's too late. Most indie games are released here and on Steam at the same time.

Not only it's been two weeks, but they also didn't warn people that it might be coming here, so I imagine that most people willing to buy it at full price have done it already on Steam.

I think you're underestimating the GOG cultists.. I mean customers.
Personally I would probably still prefer the Steam version (or a Humble Store sale with both DRM-free and Steam) unless the GOG version includes the soundtrack and the Steam version doesn't (too lazy to check).
Assuming it is Guacamelee, it is probably the developers fault this time since it took them a couple of weeks to release a DRM-free version.
But I agree, it would be best if games were released on GOG the same time as elsewhere.
It makes choosing easier, especially since GOG rarely announces which games are going to be released when.

Not entirely true. There are those of us who persist that DRM-free is enough reason to wait.

I prefer GOG, and to have it DRM-free, but if I see no indication that it's coming here I'll buy it somewhere else. So do most people.

Because you are comparing GOG against itself, I'm comparing the money they are making with what they could make instead with a simultaneous release. Regarding Amnesia, if GOG had it at release you can bet it would have sold it even more, and if you consider the difference between what it is and what it could have been to be meaningless, than you are indeed overestimating those numbers.
