orcishgamer: They'd be pretty stupid not to, that's how I got all my expacs for Stardock games, by buying the jewel case only complete releases for like 10 USD and activating them. I would expect a lot of people who've bought Stardock games are used to this and doesn't Steam do this for other games?
Steam only does that for a handful of games, not for all, unless they're either Steamworks games (since those REQUIRE Steam) or Valve games. Non-valve, non-steamworks games that allow this are few.

I see, I guess I thought it was more common as so many indie bundles advertise the ability to activate on Steam (presumably because you want all that DRM goodness, that the bundle failed to deliver on, back).
This would probably be a great time to dredge up all the anti-Steam rants that Wardell has made over the last few years.
I like Sins, but not enough to purchase it a second time.

Especially when I'm so terrible at it :)

Yeah, but that's a peculiarity of the indie bundles. Generally when you buy those games separate from non-Steam sources you don't get to activate them there.
With the new pricepoints and so: when is Elemental coming to GOG?

Elemental & Demigod package for $5.99, finally a fair price
Is Elemental even a game yet? I've not heard anything much about in recent months and know it was released in a shambles of a state - I don't think the expansion is even out for it yet (an item promised to early purchasers as free because of the disaster of a release it was)
Stardock and Impulse both will never get another dollar from me. How do you go from " we will not promote competitors stores (regarding steamworks)" to selling their store to satan, crossing the floor and bowing their heads to Gabe, and not offering tranfers of SD games to steam. What happened to "one game one purchase" Brad? Bunch of scumbags

Yep. They owe everyone steam keys for any purchased games that show up on steam.
I agree, and until they give out steam keys for previously purchased titles, they won't get a cent . After all those years competing and fighting, Brad sells out and bows to Valve? Fine and dandy, but if you cashed in Brad, spread the love with some cd keys.
I only have one purchase from them, Demigod. I don't know about GameStop and how they'll affect me, maybe because i don't live there.
I have Galciv,Sins,Demigod, East India Company (via their old awesome cdkey transfer offer), Corporate and Political Machine.

I would say that it shows that in business personal likes or dislikes are not as important than in real life. He's just flexible and doing what's best for this company.

East India Company activated on Impulse because it used Stardock's GOO as DRM not because it was a Stardock game. It was a Paradox game. You could also activate THQ's Red Faction on Impulse.
