Lots of games had ice/clound-themed stages. In what way did the main character look like Mario? Was it red clothes? If not then Adventure Island comes to mind.

I think he had a face like Mario, don't know much about the clothes tho.
Well thanks for all your help so far, I'll try to get more information about the game that may help find it.

For information: I just found by chance the other game I was looking for and it's called
MC MARIO.

As I see now, it's in fact really a pirated game(original McKids), but it brings back soo many memories and I still think of buying an old Famicom just so I can play it again! =)
