Hi guys,

Very soon I'll be purchasing, here on GOG, Myst and Riven (Started playing when I was 10 years old and never got to play them correctly - it's been 10 years). To some people they might not be the best games but I find them quit interesting.

For a couple of weeks though, I've been trying to find Myst III: Exile for digital download like the other Mysts. But it doesn't seem available anywhere.

I was wondering if it will ever appear on GOG??

Thank you very much for your time!

welcome to the forums and community mobius

I'm afraid that Myst III isn't available here as of now however it might be added later

http://www.gog.com/en/wanted

you can try voting for it on the wishlist as well but it's broken at the moment, the team promised to fix that this year

If you look around, places like BestBuy, FutureShop or even Staples may carry the box set of the 10th Anniversary Edition of Myst. (I got my copy at a Staples in downtown Toronto for CDN $20.) It's essentially a compilation of Myst I-III in DVD format (DRM-free), with the version of Myst included being the Masterpiece Edition (sadly, they didn't include realMyst). You can also get it online for about $20 too, if you do some hunting around.
Mysts III & IV may be in a bit of a license limbo since they weren't developed by Cyan.

I'm not sure - Presto Studios did Myst III, and they've been signed for Journeyman Project 2; Ubisoft Montreal did Myst IV, and Ubisoft's been available on GOG for some time now. I'm guessing that Myst III and Myst IV are probably on the release list and will be coming eventually...
Before we get to my question, sorry about the necro. This thread wasn't too old, and the OP asked almost the exact same question I am asking, so I didn't want to make a new thread. Hopefully replying to this thread instead of making a new one won't get anyone upset.

I own Myst 1 and Riven through gog. I'm ready to buy Myst 3: Exile, but I can't find any good place online to buy it. I don't want to buy a physical copy unless that is the only choice. I really would prefer a digital download version. I also do not want a bundle pack with other Myst games, unless the bundle is no more than $10.

Anyone know where I can buy a digital copy of this game? DRM free and cheap and not from a shady looking website would be a super big bonus.

It isn't sold digitally anywhere as far as I know. Physical copy is your only (legal) option at the moment. That or waiting.
Damn. Okay, thanks.
OK Looking this up, they made Myst:ME in 1999 and realMyst in 2000 - 2 re-makes in consecutive years? What's that about?
Also strikes me as odd that GOG sell them separately - you'd think they'd put them together in the same pack somehow...

I'd bet Cyan and Ubisoft have difficulty agreeing on who should reap the profits, since Cyan owns the Myst brand but Ubisoft owns those games.

Well, it seems to keep George Lucas happy.
