I've been posting on here pretty much exclusively the last year. I dabble on Steam forums and used to post on NVNews and WSGF. Anyway that's all PC stuff.

I've got a nice new Xbox waiting for me back in the States for when I go home in a month. I want to talk about console stuff at this point, and here is not the place for it (no offense but most of you are annoying PC elitists).

So what's a good console forum? One without a lot of teenage dipshits, if possible. I post rarely on Giantbomb but that seems like a surprisingly slow forum for such a popular website, also I dislike the structure of it. I know gametrailers and gamefaqs are horrible, so don't suggest those.

Eurogamer is pretty good. Not US-oriented obviously,, but the community is surprisingly mature and civil. Avoid GameSpot.
A console forum, WITHOUT teenagers?

Hah!

That appeals to me because eurogamer is where I get my game news. I like their clean and to the point design.

I'll check it out.

That was a short trip. You'll be missing all the strife following the elections...

I go home June 15th for the Summer. I am supposed t come back September 10th for the Fall. I have been so sick lately though, I am not sure if I will do so. Something about Georgia does not agree with my immune system.

Summer is hell (at least in Tbilisi) so you won't miss much. And remember, Georgia is basically only one step away from being a third world country, that shows when it comes to food hygiene etc. Our emabassy provided us with a list of "clean restaurants" for when we received visitors, not without reason....

Yeah, the lax food standards might be weakening my immune system. Plus they don't have many fruits or veggies I like, so I am probably malnourished on that end. On top of that the air here is supposedly super dirty, and hygiene standards are low with people coughing in my face all the time and shaking my hand with God knows what on them.

I've gotten bronchitis 4 times now and my current spell of it is not going away even after antibiotics. I'm not coming back if I can't stay healthy. I'm going to see if there is a medical opt-out of some kind.

First world problem: over-hygiene.

Good thing I had a cat when I was a kid. It would sometimes bring me dead mice or birds, as a sign of affection I guess.

There is a difference between over-hygiene and eating dogmeat that was laying in the sun for 8 hours. And most refrigerators in the stores only run during the hours the shop is open (and there is no blackout).

I grew up on the countryside, I was literally covered head to toe in dirt (much to the dismay of my mother), yet I still developed an allergy. It is against "blossoming field grass" or whatever it is called in english and it came to me out of nowhere. One day I was playing in the field, then,*bam* I had an allergic shock and nearly suffocated in that field.
Yeah, my host family touch raw meat and then go sit and chill in the living room without washing. They prepare bread on the same counter raw chicken just sat on. They wash dishes without soap. They put food on the table at 8AM and don't eat it until 6PM.

And that's just food stuff.

I've picking on you a lot lately haven't I. =)
But, I'm sorry, I got offended. =(
I'm a PC elitist (not sure If I'm annoying though hehehe).

I'll not delve further into this question (because it's pointless) but, for me, consoles are the reason we are stagnant. Come on... Directx9 games on 2012?

HA! Good luck with that. Another problem with console gaming is the children that use them.

Back on topic:
I think you'll find a good community here:

http://www.pvcmuseum.com/

I used to read it a few years back. People there are usually polite and reasonable.
I've actually found that most of the really vocal members of this community seem to be pretty console oriented folks already.
Oh, my bad... I think that community is dead now. Last topic from 2011... :/
Shame...

Not exactly console-specific, but Penny Arcade Forum is a pretty subdued, well-controlled general gaming forum.
