I play XG2 Racer via emulation right now, but it's a bit annoying. The sound distorts, etc. I'm looking for a free arcade racer, along the lines of XG2. I'm not too picky, I just want something free and twitchy and natively Win7 compatible. Standalone, no online/flash games. Any recommendations?

TMNF is pretty fun, but a bit 1-dimensional. How about a game with something like XG2's combat arcade mode (piloting the bike, also shooting and collecting power-ups)? This doesn't need to be a driving game.

Haha yeah..... maybe something with fewer jaggies. I figured with all the free tunnel racers out there, there must be some recent popular ones with more than just time challenges.

One last bump, and then I'll give up.

Basically I'm looking for a PC equivalent of Wipeout HD. Or maybe Dyad. I should've titled the thread "WipEoutHD PC Equivalent".
