Hey guys
I remember this anime movie that I watched when I was a kid. I remember almost nothing, except I think it was a camp of sorts, one women was talking about how guns needed to be lighter for women to use, and there was some weird spirit thing that resembled a sort of whiite vapor. There may or may not have been this grotesque creature on a hill at some point, I think that may have been from another anime movie. Sorry for the lack of information, but I really want to watch this movie again.

Your age might be helpful in gauging this, but was it princess mononoke?!

I'm 15, so it is possible that it was Princess Mononoke
Looking through it, it appears that was the one I was thinking of. Thanks.

Ah nice one!
I was presuming you were just a few years younger than me and would have seen it around the time of release! Heheh.

Well, its certainly worth a watch - as are most of miyazakis works.
Nausicaa is also good.

or "Warriors of the Wind" as it was originally released in the UK - for darthvader39560

Edit: and Nausicaa is pretty much my favourite Miyazaki btw

Have you read the manga by Miyazaki? It's also great.

Heheh! That was a damned funny one actually - and I liked the way intended meaning of the story worked behind the humour of it as well.

YARP! - have it in english and japanese in storage somewhere in this very house! - I was very much a part of the original "manga wave" that hit the UK in the early / mid 90s but fell out of love somehwat when the 2000s happened due to the crap being imported here at the time sadly.
Do you remember all the garage kits you could buy back then?!

Since the question was already answered I shall take the opportunity to plug, watch Sword of the Stranger, it's great. It's a samurai movie.

Hmmm... not heard of that - live action ya mean? Always a fan of Kirosawas work actually.
If you want to watch something epic, then you should watch Legend of the Galactic heroes for sure.
I was going to answer gunsmith cats, but the whole spirit thing blew that idea up. That's an ok mini series to watch.

I love Kurosawa movies like Yojimbo, but this one is actually anime. It was done by Bones, the guys who did the Escaflowne movie, Cowboy Bebop's movie, FMA, Eureka Seven, and more. It's a really good samurai-esque movie and it looks just amazing.

Unfortunately, the movie is expensive (at least here in the USA) to get anymore and I have to watch it on Hulu. For what it's worth, it's been compared to Ninja Scroll, just without all the rape.

Anime movies.. pfff

It's like watching a movie based on a book, nothing good comes out of it. And if it does, it only encourages more people to do it resulting in far worse things. So yeah, not interested, I'l stick to my priced digital manga collection, thank you very much.
