God I love drm..What would I do without the constant battle with the securom and others. I just couldn't live with the possibility that the game could work in most occasions without hassle. Honestly, it's always a refreshing thing to see that the game won't start because firewall doesn't like the drm's attempt to penetrate my hard drive, it sure does keep my awareness-level sky high, because, god forbid, it would be too easy to just play the game.
No, you need to have the battle. After a full two-day fight against the drm-monster (which is really there just to please the paying customers and serve them) you finally get the game running, you value it more. If it just worked right away, you would lose the "uphill struggle and possible triumph".
It really is a good thing we have those restrictions, since all it does is increase sales and stop piracy effectively. It's also a good thing it only affects the paying customer and might work after 14 installs.
Long live DRM! It's only here to serve the customers!
(Sorry guys, I needed to let off some steam...)
