KneeTheCap: I haven't been able to get Mass Effect 1 to work. It just dies. I'm not sure is it because of DRM or not, but it just won't work. And I have 2 of them. Retail and digital one.
It took me 2 days of constant emailin' with support to get one unnamed game to work *krhm*Patrician4*Krhm* and that was because it didn't feel like to validate itself and because on that, wouldn't start. Fun times.
Now I'm fighting with one game that uses SecuRom. Gosh...
Honestly, WHY do they need to put those "protections" in their games, while it's obvious it only affects buying customers?
So, thank god for GOG...
Edit. Oh, and don't even get me started with disc check. that is a different world altogether...
Just crack the game (there are a few cracks for ME1 easily available), as far as I know, it isnt against the law to crack a game you already own. (they may not like it, but what would they "charge" you with?)
