That's in New Zealand, I bought one in the US a few years back for a lot less. I can't recall how much, but it was definitely well under $50.

Same price for the fucking things here too. $50 for a regular PS3 controller. $60 if you want one that's not black but otherwise identical.

I remember trying to play AC when I first got it without a gamepad. It was really hard to do, and the arrangement of buttons made it nigh impossible to just keep my fingers in the right place, even without worrying about hitting the ones I wanted at the right time.
