same here.
XP Firefox 28
Today I selected a thread I created some time ago just to control what happened to my avatar, and I noticed this:
1-before the first login, I was marked as "offline" (of course)
2-after the first login, I was marked as "online" but I could neither post nor go to my account
3-after the second login, I could do everything I'm supposed to.

I don't know if this is somehow useful, I just posted it for science's sake! :)
only had to log in once this time.

Im still a bit shocked that the staff havent commented on the issue, im sure someone sent a ticket in.
This is getting ridiculous. Everytime I write to GOG about the issue and they ask me to try something (like turning off anti virus or firewall) to see if it changes anything, I can't do it, because the bug is gone for a few hours (or even days).

Answered them anyway and gave them as much info as I could about my browser, add-ons and specs. Don't really think that the problem is on my side though. If it was, it wouldn't be gone from time to time and not so many people would be concerned suddenly.
Maybe the site is just a little lazy after weekends or it hates mondays? The bug is back for me again...

I noticed the double log-in was back this morning, just to confirm this minor annoyance...
Just now, i had to login twice to.

firefox 28
alright i think this has gone on long enough. I had to log in twice earlier today too but the lack of any official acknowledgement of it is irritating. Gonna write a support ticket and link them this thread.
So far, it seems to be a problem for firefox users.

Except that it isn't, I have the same issue on SWare Iron (Chrome fork).

As I've already mentioned, I have no issues logging into the forums using the latest Pale Moon and HTTPS Everywhere with the GOG rules (I can't log in from the main page using these since the Winter Sale), but on SWare Iron and without these, I have to log in twice before the site acknowledges it both on the store front page and on the forum.

This has been happening on and off for the past ten days; suspiciously enough, the issue appears/ disappears when promos end or new ones start and, imho, it's at least an indication that opening gog.com or gog.com//* and then trying to log in is affected by those changes.
However, I have no idea why it's affecting only a subset of users - maybe those not affected, never log out or don't clear cookies, something that allows the site to remember them.

Good luck with that, GOG Support already said that they can't reproduce the problem - in my experience, this means that this issue is here to stay. I'm sad to say that the only way I see this (and other issues) gone is if this site-wide redesign fixes things due to change of code (i.e. as a side effect) or the web-design team gets new additions - the latter doesn't look too good given that not only are the related positions still open but GOG also started promoting its job offerings on the main page (at least I don't remember ever seeing a promo-type box linking to gog.com/work).
Okay, good to know, guys- definitely information to include in your support tickets.

I experienced it myself, just now.

Not just Firefox... As noted here I use Google Chrome incognito and I still get it intermittently.
Still exists, as I had to twice today (Opera.)

Edit to add: Maybe it's something like this:

Login 1: Are you the asshole we are looking for?

Login 2: Yes, you are the asshole we are looking for :-)

Confirm that this issue still exists today.
