It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

I've had a persistent problem with the gog site. there appears to be no way to reach the login screen from gog.com, as all atttempts to reach bookmarked pages lead back to the teaser page. This occurs whenever i log out and try to return in a different browser session.
To re-enter the site, i have to go back to the beta invite email, manually navigate to the beta page, and reenter the access code. i can then login in normally.
this is not a huge problem, but is certainly an irritation. does anyone else have this issue?

Just don't log out. I haven't logged out yet, and it automatically logs me in and brings me to the main page when I go to gog.com.
Do you clear your cookies after each browsing session? Reaching the frontpage relies on you having a cookie that says you're a member, or something. Each time you go to the beta page and enter your email adress and betakey you get the required cookies again.

yeah, this is what I suspect is the issue. The thing is, I don't know why you can't just get to a login page & then put in your login/password. I really don't care to adjust my security settings/browser policies, as I have them set to minimize the impact of adware & other irritations.
What would the rationale be to hide the login page without the cookie? i mean, you are already requiring a login so what does this accomplish?

GOG is still in beta stage, you know. all other people except us are supposed to see the teaser)
I know what you're talking about OP, but what I have done to get around it, is just use the links from my email. I've accessed this website from a number of different computers (work, 2 at home, and once at a friends house) and each time I used the link from the email, except for today, when I typed in gog.com at my work browser it took me to the main page, thankfully...

Just like kannabie said, only beta testers are supposed to see page, other users are supposed to see teaser. When beta ends you will be directed to GOG's homepage, without cookies, nor beta code.

ok, thanks. I know you're in Beta. I wasn't sure if this was planned behavior or unexpected, so i reported it. Is there any problem using the access code on the /beta page each time i need to replace the cookie? I've tried the links from the email, but they divert to the teaser page too.

Every code has limited number of uses due to security.

I am glad you mentioned that, as I will have to be more careful myself. I have had to leave my home PC due to Hurricane Ike, and have been using two different family laptops (just using whichever one is free). I don't believe I have used up my limitation yet though, but I will make sure to set both computers to where it won't lose the cookies, as I don't want to risk losing my access to GOG until I return home. :(
hmm... well my problem then is that I will eventually reach a point where i cannot get back in.''
I've already reset my cookie policy to only delete them when they expire, but i don't know if that will resolve the problem.
I also had firefox save the login/password and won't logout anymore. What do i do if this problem (cookie disappearing so i can't get to the login page) persists?
