It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

? I can see you logged in? :)
The site seems to have issues regarding DNS. It's possible if you clear your DNS cache that it might work.

Here's what you do:

Open the Start menu.
Go to Run.
If you do not see the Run command in Vista, search for "run" in the Search bar.
In the Run text box, type: ipconfig /flushdns
Press Enter or Return, and your cache will be flushed.

It would explain why it works on your notebook or laptop but not desktop.

He's probably using a different computer at the moment, as he specified that he cannot log in via his desktop.

Or I have been seriously eating those shrooms...

Didnt work im afraid, i had to do it via command prompt as the run thing spat out errors
hmm, I can confirm now... tried logging in with a different browser, and the login box keeps coming back all the time.

Seems to be like a fault on GOGs side.

Well at least it isnt just me then, i wonder what would cause it though, i have logged in and out on my phone fine, i tried multiple browsers as well incase it was chrome being a bitch but this kinda proved that to be a waste of time.

I had the problems with Firefox... I am logged in with Chrome (but always logged in, I just don't want to logout here)
