I recently got Little Big Planet 1 for free thanks to the whole fiasco with Sony being hacked. Because I enjoyed it so much, I went out and bought Little Big Planet 2.

So, I was wondering if people have levels they want to share and perhaps provide links to profiles on lbp.me. Perhaps people could even play co-op with each other, but that's not my intent, especially with having no headset for the PS3. So, I'd be a mute and not much fun to play with.

Also, I'm looking to try my hand at creating some levels eventually, so if anyone wants to provide any tips, that'd be great for me and others. Granted, I may not be able to get into it, as I've never tried making games etc. before.

Lastly, I intend to add some articles on the 2 games eventually, showcasing the levels I've found to be quite good, amongst adding other types of articles.

You'll be able to find the articles by clicking on 'view hubfolio' and selecting the Little Big Planet topic at the link below:

Keep in mind that the topic isn't created yet and as such, I have no articles covering the game yet.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I have two gamer tags on the PSN: DavidGil and Rob_K2. The DavidGil one I won't be on so much though.

I have a few I have made and some I have played thanks to using a friend's version at his house, but due to a lack of decent Internet, no I have none to share. :(
Here are my levels: http://lbp.me/u/Sgt_Phantomizer/levels

If you are looking at seriously creating something, check out these communities.

I'ld highly suggest the first one (it's why it's first, duh :P ) since there's a bunch of friendly people that help out new people, but the second option works well too. As for the latter, only consider it if you are looking to advertise your already created level, it's become kind-of deserted since last year, or at least, it was.

My personal suggestions for creating is to start simple (a platformer), as you learn and get the hang of things, THEN and only THEN try something more complex and second, once you publish something, be ready to take negative criticism.
My first level seemed uber awesome to me, but it turns out it wasn't, i had to revise the design and re-construct many parts of it in order to turn it into something good.

Good Luck :)
Thanks for the links, Shiek, and also the tips. No worries about the feedback/criticism thing, I'm used to it as it comes with writing articles/stories.

It's funny you've published some obstacle courses. I was thinking of trying one for the first level, using those rotating circular objects found in the first game (and perhaps the second), amongst other things. Then, if I can use the create tool well enough, move onto story based things as that's my strength, if I have one when it comes to creating games/levels.

I'll just have to mess around with the create mode really and see if I can get a handle on it. I know I tried one of the tutorials in LBP 2, first one dealing with micro chips (the carrot one) and I couldn't get it to do what was shown in the video.

I couldn't stand the rubbish feel of the platforming. Compared to something like Mario it was a travesty. Just my opinion...

The player-made stuff doesn't really light my fire either because I grew up on PC mods.
I am playing LBP (got it for free as well) and I think it's a quite enjoyable game to lighty spend an hour. Dunno if I'll ever replay it though.

Did you ever try the second game? You can alter the gravity, so that the platforming performs the way you want it to or better at least, if you find the right level or create one. Then there's entire game types that can be developed with the sequel's create mode, like top down shooters, so the platforming won't always hinder your enjoyment.

I found a good tower defense game that I'll be covering in the first article I do, called TOWER DEFENCE by HERONEMIS. Then there's twin stick shooters such as Blast Radius (like Super Stardust I think) and other game types that can be made.

I can see myself having a lot of fun with the game, due to being able to find different game types other than just platforming. So, even if I don't bother with the create mode, there's always online though I don't tend to play with other people.

Edit: I'm actually surprised I found the game pretty fun, Fifeldor, and I can quite easily see myself playing the story levels again and again for the prize bubbles. Honestly, I'm surprised at how much I enjoy it because I previously avoided it.

But the point's taken. I think the second game has a lot more replayability than the first game, hence why I picked it up due to the different game types on offer. I figure that if I want to play any tower defense game, I can just hop online in LBP 2 and look for a new one, rather than spending cash on another game (cash which I'm admittedly short on of late.)

Same here. I actually BOUGHT the game before it was given away for free & I really feel like I wasted my money on it. It just doesn't feel right at all to me... your character moves slow as fuck & the jumping mechanics are really off. It feels like more of a tech demo than an actual game in my opinion.

On the plus side though, I was able to trade it into gamestop for $19 thanks to the 50% extra sale they had recently & put that money towards OoT 3D & then still get it back for free in case I would decide to play it again thanks to the welcome back offer.

Since when do all platformers have to emulate Mario's physics? :P

Mario is Mario and Little Big Planet is Little Big Planet, if it behaved like Mario, that would be a little wierd.

So, so true! Like someone said earlier, in LBP2 you can change the "gravity" to fix that in the online levels you create.

Thanks to this thread, I will not forget accomplishing anything today and now just play LBP2! :D (Really need to finish Sanitarium!)
