Detlik: How many those movies are there anyway?
avatar
Foxhack: Wikipedia says:

Not Another Teen Movie (2001)
Date Movie (2006)
Epic Movie (2007)
Meet the Spartans (2008)
Superhero Movie (2008)
Disaster Movie (2008)
Dance Flick (2009)
Vampires Suck (2010)
From what I saw of it Superhero movies wasn't bad. Those are all Wayans movies, right? They're really an acquired taste either you like them or no amount of money will ever make it worth watching.

EDIT: Apparently not.

The Wayans brothers are good comedians... most of the time.

But even they couldn't save these movies.

Foxhack: List of movies
I don't think that Superhero Movie and Dance Flick were by the same guys as the rest of them.

I had some hopes for Vampires Suck after I saw the first trailer, thinking that it would be more focused and not just saying 'hey! We saw this movie too!' but then the second trailer came out and I was disappointed.

And l0rdtr3k, God speed, you. And change your avatar, I keep on mixing you and stoicsentry up. And yes, I know I need an avvie.

You're right, Dance Flick is by the Wayans, and Superhero Movie is by some guy called Craig Mazin.

... who was the writer for Disney's RocketMan, so he's still on my hit list.

Anyway, all the movies I listed could be considered spinoffs since people involved in the original Scary Movie series were around for all those films.

I'm used to them being in their own movies which is where the confusion came from. Personally, I loved their work from the early 90s, about the time they were doing In Living Color, they've gone downhill somewhat, but they're often times still funny.

Then again, I'm not sure I would have gotten it if I didn't spend a lot of time with my friends from the hood.
