Hahaha both of those are so true. Iphones I don't like and Apple I hate with a passion because they suck, cost more, and do less on all their products. All of them, including Iphone. My friend got an Iphone a week ago and now is begging me to look up how to jailbreak it for him. As for Linux I just had similiar problems with an upgrade to Ubuntu 10.4, did the upgrade from their launcher panel that suggested an upgrade and my system won't boot anymore. I'm done with Linux now since it pooched my poor PC.
Both pics got me to laugh due to real life circumstances on both products they make fun of.

They forgot the part where the Windows user built and packaged their program???

No Linux for me.
Uhm... somehow I'm starting to feel like I needed Linux. I'm weird, indeed :-P
Not really fair since they're comparing already compiled stuff with from scratch source-code compiling+installation.
Hey, you would rip more hair off your head if you were to do these steps on Windows!
Yeah, the Linux part is obviously a hoax, but it's still quite funny :)
You can use RPMs and whatever Ubuntu uses to install like Windows. Eh?
The one thing that no exclusive fan of either OS wants to admit is that they're borderline identical now. Every distro of Linux I've ever used that was intended for general use (as opposed to functioning as a cheap router or for wardriving) has the gui on by default. Sure you can get to the terminal to do CLI functions if you want to look like a 1337 h@xx0r (or an IT professional) but you can do that in windows too
That's what you get for using a Gentoo based distribution i guess (lol, my first linux joke!)
Anyway, I'm very happy with Mint 8, after my XP corrupted itself.
PS. the cartoon misses out the bit where the windows user has to go give Bill Gates a blowjob
Sorry, I couldn't think of anything more intelligent to say

To the end-user who doesn't rely on Windows-only software and games they might be borderline identical, but beneath the surface, Windows and GNU/Linux are still quite different, and no doubt always will be. They both are fantastic, but they both serve different purposes and different communities. 'Least, that's how I see it.

Yes. I use WIN for games, C++, javascript...
But ubuntu for python, TeX..

Even Gentoo has its own portage system with preconfigured ebuilds. It's all mostly automatic already with dependancy resolvers and all that pretty stuff...
Here my advice to new Gentooer: update your packages quite often or you end up with a huge clusterfuck if you try to update after months of hibernation :P
Try Linux from Scratch instead, you will be so proud of yourself for getting a working bash shell :D
(and sorry for destroying your joke, wasn't my intention)
EDIT: just remembered that 'shell' was already included in 'bash'... oh well.

and after being proud you'll spend the rest of your days wondering where the time went and what libs you need for the smallest program.
