barjed: I hear you. That's exactly the reason why I stay away from people that game at my University. I'd be scared to admit that Kingdom Hearts is one of my favorite franchises because I'd be literally laughed at loud and then I'd hear endlessly how games have ended with Baldur's Gate 2 or some other nonsense.
Still, I think GameFAQs is leading in the "Most Retarded Community Ever" category.

It's funny you mention Kingdom Hearts, because some guy visiting my dorm's common room was wearing a Kingdom Hearts tote bag, a completely normal-looking person, yet one of my floor mates threatened to bar him from entering if he brought that with him when he visited again. I am also a Kingdom Hearts fan, so this irked me a little.
Other than that, I'm surprised how open all of my floor mates are to gaming. We're all taking Journalism/Broadcasting (most lean toward the sports side of things), and since my roommate brought his Nintendo 64, everyone gathered around excitedly, playing Goldeneye and Star Fox.
Wait, let me vote Kerrigan in greatest villian. Fuck if I'm letting The Joker win here.

H2IWclassic: So why did Kreia make the list in 2005? She wasn't exactly a popular character compared to say DV or even Revan.

Arkose: Boobies?
I'm guessing boobies.
(and this was even before BioWare started letting you sleep with companions, as far as I recall... so double for anyone from after that point)

Wrong on so many levels I'm afraid.
KOTOR 2 wasn't Bioware, You could enter into a kind of relationship with Handmaiden if you played a male character, and the already made point - Kreia's jugs were not the focus of the old witch.
Can I also just say that I'm very disappointed with what this topic turned out to be. I thought you'd just missed a question mark of the title, and had one going spare.

My dad majored in journalism too. That's neat how you all play Star Fox. I played that game all the time when I was younger, and I still play it from time to time.
EDIT: i don't know why i told you about my dad lol.

Kerrigan does not approve.

Some forums are just awful. :|

"I'm sorry but you'll never sell me on gaming on a PC, i don't like the control scheme of a mouse and keyboard, or sitting uncomfortably in front of a monitor, i just want to push a button and play....no updates, patches, long load times...just sit press and play."
My. God.
Even if he thinks the mouse and keyboard is terrible, he can plug in a 360 gamepad, and even if he hates the idea of sitting in front of a monitor, he can plug it into his TV, and last I checked, updates and patches are pretty simple processes of downloading via Steam or whatever, and unless his computer is made in the Stone Age (or it's something bearcat once owned), load times are not a problem.

Wait... so which one was the last console he used? N64? Mega Drive?
Disc-based media = long loading time.
Internet connection = patches.
Jim Sterling of Destructoid says that analog sticks are better for shooters because with mouse aim "you just click on heads, it's too easy."
But you guys, PC gaming sucks because you have to buy 4 20000$ computers every 3 months!!!! :(

Thus leaving you PC gamers with no money, so you steal games, YOU DIRTY PIRATES!
So. Much. Lollage.
THIS is why I love gog. Best forum, everyone has their place and a nice, dry wit. Just like a nice white wine with some tender cooked fish and some nuts on the veranda on a sunny day.
Rep given to all the last five posts :)

Oh, sorry, I'm thinking of the woman from the first game (whose I now recall was named Bastila or something like that).

Haha. Actually, one thing I've noticed since using a 360 controller on the PC is that most games have very heavy amounts of aim assist, which means I can take down guys almost as quickly with the controller despite having hardly any experience with it (it doesn't help that such games tend to have combat that was only tailored to the controller in the first place--cover systems being the most obvious equaliser here). For some games you actually need to go up a difficulty level or two to get something sufficiently challenging for a mouse user.

My favorite is how every game with an aim button puts your crosshair right on the enemy when you hit it, like Modern Warfare, Mafia 2, Borderlands... you can literally just hit aim/fire aim/fire over and over and kill everything.
How people can enjoy that is beyond me.

You shut the hell up. It's assholery like that that makes life miserable for people with actual lives. "OMG! Star Trek's first episode was really a two-parter but was filmed later and so was broadcast later even though it was written first chronologically!" And wtf does a question mark have to do with anything? No one asked for your approval, so no one cares if you're "disappointed". Go post your blog in ED or SA or whereever the hell self-important pricks who think they're the end-all be-all of the internet post their crap.
