I don't know what your talking about, my ancestors were pirates and I know they liked to spend their "hard earned" shiny expensive looking junk on things like antique pistols. They were just lazy enough to call everything booty. (note to GOG: I wish I can put an innocent looking smily here :P)

Hang on a minute...
I've slaughtered hundreds of ninjas AND pirates in many videogames in which I played faceless, voiceless, character-less "Hero" dude.
So... generic heroes are better than Ninjas AND pirates! And to top it off, Space Marines are almost always generic heroes!

Well, I've slaughtered lots of Space Marines, so apparently aliens are better. But wait, aliens can also be pirates! Space Pirates!

Well, I'm in a trading, colonizing, ship-using games galore nowadays, with Patrician 3, Port Royale 2, Anno 1701 and the demo of East India Company, and pirates are the cause of some major headaches, and I like weakening their lines, so that means I like pirates less, at least for now.

Well maybe ninja are actually the cause of a lot of other problems for you, but you just don't know it because they're so damn sneaky.
