Anyway... I've decided to make a let's play with video commentary, I know, the fuck? I'll try not to make this long, there are really 2 reasons for this:
1. It's fun. It is, feel free to try, if you don't believe me. Unless you don't like talking to yourself. But everyone loves that, right?
2. I've got an accent and I need to get my English speaking fluency up. I can write fairly well, but when it comes to making sentences and pronouncing them correctly in English, I just start fucking up. So this is also practice.

Not insisting on you watching it, if you don't have the time or the interest, but if someone has at least... well, one of those, then I'd really appreciate some feedback, which I really need at this early point (also a great opportunity to call me a dickweed) on my amazingly awkward first try at a Let's Play:

Your English seem to be pretty good actually! I have no issues at all understanding what you say, and you don't really have a strong accent.

One thing about the video though, try lowering the game's volume a bit.

What I watched seemed pretty good, its a game I am interested in, so I will watch it all later.

One thing though, I find your cam in the corner a bit annoying and intrusive.

Really, the volume is significantly louder than me talking? Maybe there's something wrong on my end, because they sounds seem pretty optimal to me.

How bad is it?

I watched the first 5 minutes or so. You mispronounced a few words, but I understood everything, so you're fine.


EDIT: Also, putting your face in the corner was a bad idea, it distracts from the game.

Yeah, I had a big whoopsie with the cam this time because of the aspect ratio, I'm pretty sure I know how to fix it and will do just that. The whole video in the corner is because I personally enjoy Let's Plays with video much more than without, so that's the reason why I'm going with it myself.

I'd like to watch it but that game is on my wishlist and I don't want to spoilt it! Let us know when you do the next one.

Thanks! I wanted to do Tales of Monkey Island at first and I did, but the video got messed up so I decided to just do Penumbra, because I was really eager to try it!

Anyway, it seems like a fun game so far, so keep that thing on yer wishlist. Thanks, but it's not really only the accent, I also have some trouble just putting sentence together as easily as I can in my own language, thus I can't always say what I really want to say and in a way I'd like to say it, because it turns out really primitive and silly in those cases.

I started doing LP's just for fun and ended up with nearly 700 subscribers , although I havn't done any for a while now.

It is mainly just bad during the main menu, though I feel that lowering the game volume to about 80% of what it is now would prevent the game audio from ever getting in the way of your voice.
I hate you :P I've only got 22. I'm also doing LPs as English practice though.

Not really just be yourself and do games that you really enjoy , thats will make your videos enjoyable for the viewers too :-) , I knid of like the picture in Picture but maybe make it a little smaller and put it in one of the bottom corners instead. Some peop;e dont like it but there are quite alot of successful Lp'ers that use this method effectively .

Try tweaking the game's audio a bit, the ambient noise seems quite loud. Also, try not to speak when characters or the narrator are speaking.

Personal preference but I've never liked the "reaction cam" trend.

Your English is fine, at least as another non-native speaker I understood you perfectly.
