Dude, you already have me in friends (if you didn't delete Kyra Stormeye from there):P
Sandra Morningstar is my P/W aspiring to become legendary survivor. ATM I am only survivor with about 250k XP earned, but I am bored from grinding Killroy Stonekin's brawling quests in Gunnar's Hold.
As for the farming builds, try pvxwiki.com

Dammt! XD You changed your avatar so I thought you are someone entirely new. Haha I win at perception... No mate I didn't delete you.
Yeah I tried pvxwiki that's actually where I got the template from I guess I just wasnt paying enough attention to the suggested use, I'm so compulsive at times. :/ I'll probably go back to it and try again sooner or later.
Hehe, no problem mate. I just wanted some Paragon avatar because I play with P now and...well, paragon skills aren't that good as avatars, so I chose "Incoming!" to have at least something.
While looking on the builds @ pvxwiki, don't forget to look if that build isn't for farming certain area. But sometimes I'd like to try "two man discordway" or the second 6 necro heroes build, they should be strong and it doesn't depend on builds of those 2 players, but my guild buddy doesn't want to experiment with it.
I also play Guild Wars - at times. I'm having a sabbatical at the moment due to boredom but my in game name is Barii Alyn
I'm already in a Guild though.
Karl
I've been trying this out with a trial account. It seems OK. I will let you know if I decide to take it any further... It seems like a nice diversion since there's no fees behind it.
What kind of depth is in it? Is it just killing stuff over and over like every single MMO out there? Or is there some kind of variety on what to do...?

Seeing that commend about MMOs you made I fear you already have pre-determined views about the type of games that Guild Wars potentially falls under. I'm not going to try and convince you otherwise, but I will suggest that you see the trial version through it might surprise you for once. Try and play with a friend or people you know to trust. Strategy is a big part of the game as well as character customisation. Try messing around with different builds and specs of character skills.
@klaymen: Sorry mate. I saw you online today but I couldn't join you. This morning I finally figured out what was wrong with my 130HP dervish build so I spent the entire morning adjusting it to the best of my ability (and patience). ;)

Geeze! No need to be defensive about it. The MMO thing; it's only a label after all and to me it isn't important at all... Nowhere did I mention whether I liked or disliked the game. I simply wanted to know what things there are to do other than hit stuff, level, group etc and achieve in the game... A label is NOT a representative of my personal opinion of liking or disliking the game.. I honestly didn't consider when I threw the label there whether it was important or not, it was just something I stuck there because I didn't know how else to describe it.
I have played 3 hours of the game and I am very pleased with it thus far.. But you must understand, it isn't about "convincing" any one... I just wanted some factual information about the game other than the obvious stuff. Is there crafting? What do guilds do? What happens at end game? Does it suit a PvE player like myself more than PvP?
I'm new to it so these are things I would just like to find out.. That's all.

Sorry, you misunderstand, or I wasn't clear as to formulating (likely the later). I wasn't being defensive, just trying to understand where you're coming from as to what types of gameplay you enjoy (or not).
Ok from now on lets get factual. ;)
Yes there is crafting. That is to say that it is not a skill or a trait but an action/service NPCs provide. Every armour in the game for example has to be crafted from specific materials. Which themselves devide into normal and rare (more expensive/harder to find). Crafting is made more interesting by the fact that every item (excluding some quest items) is made of those basic/rare materials that are required for crafting so you potentially can gather them from loot and item drops.
Guilds serve several purposes. On top of just connecting people in toe world they also serve as potential templates for PvP matches. Generally just social hubs though.
End game is difficult. That is to say you have to try your best to understand the mechanics of the game and its collective aspect to succeed. It is not impossible by any stretch of imagination. Yes it does provide satisfying PvE experience and reward (wont spoil anything here ;) ). For everything you could potentially want to know I suggest the folowing sites:
The official Guild Wars wiki:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Page
The unofficial wiki (contains useful info about strategy and tactics not found in official wiki):
http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
Everything you need to know about skills, their combinations, acquisition and use is here:

Thanks!!
Sorry that we both got the wrong end of the stick :D. I like all kinds of games and generally try to provide everything a chance.
I gave Guild Wars a try ages ago.. I think it was the Open Beta.. It never really hit me then, but it seems different to what I remember it as.
I noticed there seemed to be a good strategy element running through it... GOOD :). Less spamming random buttons and actually thinking about what to do next.
I'll have to give it more of a go whenever I can drag myself off of Fallout 1. I had a look at some of those Wikis.. I chose a Monk but have been really stuck on what to do over skills and stuff.. I might try one of my own and see how it goes.. I can always change later, right?
I'll probably buy this eventually.. Whether it's this month I don't know.. Money is a bit tight.
Thanks again :).
While tearing oneself away from Fallout 1 is problematic, on he account of it being an excellent game, that's understandable. ;)
Yeah, you can always change your skill set later. Actually in some cases you have to. There are builds that are universally useful though. Most of them are in PvXwiki.
Got the game installed, set up a character, Mycetus Indirich. Feel free to add me.

No problem, I was doing those easy Istan quests anyways :)
Woo, it's a bit more fun than I anticipated. Still a noobish L10 Mo\Me, though.

Hows the monk working out for ya so far? Haven't tried rolling a monk myself but like in any RPG with a multiplayer component, they're in high demand (plus you can farm with them like there's no tomorrow).
the character that i joined the guild with is broken. i'm going to make a new main and join with him.
