great...

Someone should really make a GOG-guild for noobs or something, I would join immediately :D

Lexor: There is better link (and wiki) here: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/GOTY ;)
Thankyou Lexor :)

Someone "spiked" me in town, with the box saying Accept or Reject. Any idea what that means?

Atm most players are waiting for GW2, going for different titles in GW1 to be rewarded in GW2 for them. These titles require some work and time so old players rather have no time to teach new ones.

Trade box? If someone spiked you with trade it is probably some "scam" as most trades are done by trade chat list, then typing PMs then trade in the end.

It's not that hard to learn really :) Just do the missions and attack monsters along the way. Collect body parts from the monsters cause there are collectors that'll swap said body parts for items. Sell items that you collect to merchants, etc. etc. That's what I'm doing ATM :)

Story / gameplay is easy indeed. Hard part is to recognize value of items, skills etc. Also the most important key (if you want to play with some other people in one party) is the build of 8 skills you have on bar.

Sorry, I meant it's not that to learn at the start what to do to get going in the game. What you said comes afterward with experience and possibly reading stuff online

Ye :)

tip: After you progress in the story and level, it will be profitable to identify even white items (known as junk) as merchant is giving you more money for them after id - example 30gp before id, 100+gp after id :)

I do that already as the Salvage and Identify items are available from the start at Merchants :D Not sure if it was always like that though or it was added in a patch

But thankyou for the tip :D Much appreciated
As usual, Rohan the Raven is here to help those who need it. :)
I have to admit it's been ages since I have played GW and I'd love a reason to get back into it, so if anyone needs help in game, wants to farm mats or money or just do some co-op missions hit me up.

My main is Fenner Wildheart who has his prestige armor and a destroyer weapon, but I have 2 other 20's that I screw around with so I can get to any campaign to help out.

P.S. Luxon if anyone is doing factions.
Damn that was fun. Spent an hour crawling through a dungeon full of Charr and slayed two huge effigies after brutalizing every room in a matter of seconds. Almost got wiped right as I killed the boss needed to finish. :)
Best playthrough ever.
i still need to finish Nightfall, stuck on Abaddon :(
I will go ahead and form a guild, I don't expect to be anything other than your peer and equal, though.

Send a private tell to Cym Tyr (can't remember if you need my first and last name in game or just the first - Cym should work)

I will front the funds to get the guild going and get the cloak going. If someone would prefer to actually "Lead" it I don't mind passing on the reigns once it's formed. Just let me know, this is a courtesy for our fellow GOG'ers and the plat investment to form and get the crest set up is the least I can do for you guys and gals.

We can worry about GW 2 when it comes out.

Those dungeons can be a pain, but it sure feels great when you beat them without having wiped too much. I recently did my most hated dungeon, Shards of Orr, in HM using 3 dwayna dervish heroes. It was actually easier than back when I did it in normal mode. I don't think I'll ever do that bloody dungeon again though, too painful. And Fendi's probably the most annoying boss ever. Plus I always get useless crap from his chest.

Guild is formed. It is called "Good Old Games" with the abbreviation GoG. Send Cym a tell and help me get it going so I can promote a couple people to officer.
