I have all three campaigns + EotN, I mainly play PvE with my monk "Harrid The Blind" but my original character is "Aull Arkenbon".
If you ever need help/advice/whatever just whisper me, I have been playing the game since the first year it was out (2005 I think) so I know most things. Although i'm not on much recently.

I had the same problem last week. Suddenly got the urge to play Guild Wars, but had of course forgotten the name. I contacted support, and after about 4 days I finally got a name.
Bought the two other campaigns on Steam yesterday, since it was on sale. Also, I deleted my character, after realizing that I had made a couple of big mistakes. Had only reached level 6 on a single character, so it's probably not a big problem. Anyways, I might want to play with some people here... In a couple of weeks at least, as I'll probably be a bit busy with more important stuff.

I just bought Guild war. I wanted to try a MMO. But I'm at the beginning.

I've been interested in trying this game out for a while since it doesn't require a subscription, so I finally bought it last night since it was on sale.

I just bought GW Trilogy since it was on sale too. (The no subscription fee did factor a lot into my decision to purchase.) Mainly playing PvE, not really interested in the actual "Guild Wars" (aka. PvP) part. :P

Managed to just barely start up a character yesterday. A necromancer called Forklift Summoner. Probably won't be on much the next couple of weeks, as mentioned, but if anyone are interested just add me.

is it a nightfall character? i want to play.
can someone explain the restrictions on when you can party with other people? i tried with phanboy (i think) but it wouldn't let us.

You can party with anyone who is in the same district of a town, outpost, mission outpost and you aren't exceeding the party limit, which is 4 or 8 in most towns, although in Prophecies the starter area's limit is 2 and there are quite a few places with a 6-person limit.
